From a teacher's perspective, the environment is oppressive. The academic administration (3 people) is continuously experimenting "new" implementations/programs that are burdening us, as is reflected in the turnover rate each year. I do not feel respected for the many years of teaching I possess. The principal came from Queen of Peace Middle School in Gainesville FL (2021) - one should research the reviews from that time. There is favoritism for athletes, including requests to change grades that are not earned. This has proven to be a detriment when students go on to college on sports scholarships and academically fail in their first semester. In my opinion, one should look elsewhere to be appreciated.

Lets start with having Chinese students ( 40 enrolled) pay $45K per year who displace local students. Well its nice way to fill the coffers of the school but maybe if they just helped the local students it would be more helpful for our local students who live and work and call Ocala home. Academics are average and their was little effort by the school when our student was having academic trouble. In fact with precalculus our student NEEDED summer school ( parent wanted summer school )but they could not provide teacher so they asked for $395 and asked for a 10 page paper to receive a passing grade. Who ever heard of writing a paper to learn math. I think there is little effort by administration and staff to really get to know the students as individuals so if you do not fit into profile , they must be trouble. I also think many of the students were mean spirited despite it being a " religious" school . I hope this review is received by the school and prompts change.

As a mother of two daughters that graduated from Trinity Catholic, I would say that this is by far the best school in Marion County. The academic challenges were good for my children and they were totally prepared for college upon graduation. Academics have grown throughout the years at TC and now there are dual enrollment opportunities that were not afforded to my first graduate. The closeness of the students and the faculty is second to none. The students always know that there is someone on the campus that they can talk to when there is a problem. Someone always greets the students at the gate in the morning. While they are strict on uniform policy, I feel it sets them up for the real world when they will work and have strict dress requirements for their job. I would like to think that every parent would want their children to be set up for success. Trinity Catholic truly does this for their students.

I am at the moment (2018) currently a senior at trinity catholic and there are many good things in the school, however there also a lot of issues with the school. One of the bad things is the price, for what we are given in return for said money is no where near equal to that money. Another issue is that the school is mostly sport orientated, in the past with the old president things like band and sports were being allowed to do mostly whatever they wanted, but now with Dr. Wickstrom (I apologize if I misspelled her name) things have mostly evened out. Some more issues with the school are the overpriced lunches, the many issues that affect the internet on a daily basis, most students don't have a voice, another issue is how the uniform policy is needlessly strict to the point where some of the girls get in trouble if their skirts are too long or short and the guys will get in trouble if they have even a little bit of scruff, the internet security blocks useless sites that would do no damage, your not allowed to wear jackets from outside of the school unless it is a really cold. Some good things that the school can offer are how it treats students who learn differently; an example of this is how they treat me. I have some issues with learning at the same pace as others and I need the ability to write all my notes by hand instead of typing them to understand said notes. If I can't finish writing the notes the teachers will either send them to me or they'll let me stay after to write them down. In the case of leadership of the faculty then the school has a really good system in place to help the students find out information but, if the leadership is for the students then I can say its not really too good because I've been going to TC for a couple years and I have never heard anything about student leadership. I know that there is some form of leadership for each of the grades but normal students don't really participate in those things unless its a vote brought up during advisement. In the end whether or not you choose to send your child to this school is a decision you should bring up with your child and discuss with them all the details like price and ways it can help them in the future. You could go to the website and see details that the school shows you or you could ask someone who has graduated from the school.

The faculty staff and administration at TC are the best. My four years there were the best decision my parents ever made for me. At TC we are a family.

I graduated from Trinity Catholic High School in May of 2013. I am now attending Notre Dame and I feel that I was much better prepared for college than my ND friends. TC did not only help me academically but spiritually also. I have a better sense of my faith and it helped strengthen my relationship with God. I wish I could still be there because I had great teachers and made friendships that will stay with me for the rest of my life. TC does all it says and more. I wish I could only give back half of what Trinity gave to me. While I was at TC, I played football, basketball and track and field. I also was involved in six different clubs and the president of two of them. I also did community service and was in the National Honor Society. I would recommend that everyone go to Trinity Catholic High School.

I graduated in 2014 and I absolutely believe that this school is one of the best high schools in the nation. Simply put, TC teaches you things that other schools do not and public schools cannot. One clear distinction between TC and other schools is the it teaches you not only academic and the athletic aspects of life, which it does phenomenally but also places a strong emphasis on morals and discipline. TC provides a strong base to grow upon in an environment where everyone has an equal opportunity to learn as long as they are willing to try. The teachers are certainly willing to help in any means possible. As President McKenzie told me 'Boys will be boys and girls will be girls but Trinity boys and girls will be gentlemen and ladies' . I learned to be a gentlman at TC. We are one family.

Both our daughters are flourishing at this school! <They came from a Public School with extremely Poor Leadership and a Teaching Staff that is in constant turmoil>. On the bright side, our daughters now realize the importance of a school with Great Leadership and Teachers who are Warm, Professional, & Caring. Their grades (& constant praise of this school) reflect their happiness. Words simply can't express the amount of happiness we have, in regards to our daughters attending TrinityCatholic .

The school is over priced - the lack of academics is obvious and the focus is on sports - they allow students who can not keep up academically attend the school due to their sports ability - this school is in no way a Christian school ... the faith component in greatly lacking. I was very disappointed and will be sending my daughter to a different school where FAITH is the focus along with academics.

I don't believe this school is a good choice. They don't even know why over half the kids have detentions. The school is also way over priced and it is give or take when they want to follow the rules or not.

Trinity Catholic is truly amazing. For a while there was favoritism, but as new staff have come in, the favoritism has vanished. Trinity Offers absolutely amazing courses which will take your student above and beyond. Next year, they are switching to blocked schedueling and my daughter is so excited about it. By the time the 2014 freshman graduate, they will have 32 credits. This is, if not the the highest, one of the highest amounts of credits that people are graduating with. Trinity has changed for the better. I especially like how it prepares kids for college and won't set them up for failure. My daughter has made so many close friendships here that she will have for a VERY long time. Also, the sports are absolutely stellar.

Beer bottles and tampoon everywhere. Rude teachers and staff. School lack of security open all the time for everybody. High tuition fee. They accepted new teachers to save money but compromises teaching quality.

I have one child in Trinity right now, and i can not say this was the best choice. I believe the tuition for one student is too high for what they get, textbook fees along with other fees such as "building appreciation fees" are astronomical. It cost more to RENT the books at Trinity then does it to BUY my other child's books in college. I also believe that students need to show individuality, this institution does not let the kids show at all what makes them different besides their book bags which probably will need to be a uniform book bag in a couple of years. They are so strict that the kids all have to wear white no show socks. They also hand kids out detention like its free candy. The first couple of years my child loved it, loved all his teachers and administration but the past couple of years I don't hear as many great comments and the students get mixed messages between the teachers and administration.

Excellent teachers and administration. Sports program is one of the finest in the state. Students graduate from this school well prepared for college.
