My daughter is in first grade, has autism & has an IEP that is followed diligently. She requires a moderate amount of help throughout the day & they adjust if needed. Communication is always key for us. Also, my oldest went here between 2018-2020 & did well. She is neurotypical and loved it. She now takes advanced classes in high school & is thriving. I only gave 4 stars because I always think there’s room for improvement.

Does not follow IEP’s. Poor communication with parents. Had high hopes for this school since at the new family welcome a few years ago the principal stated he has compassion for kiddos who are different or struggle with traditional learning. Turns out those kiddos fall more behind and deeper into the cracks at this school. Completely unacceptable. If you can avoid sending your kiddos here, I definitely would avoid it. Worst school in the district.
We moved into PVE after the boundary switch and we have loved every minute. The administration is one of the best we have seen, the enthusiasm is great for the staff and teachers. My daughter was behind in math and has been provided a math 'interventionist' DAILY and she has made tons of progress this year. She does have homework and it can be 20-40 minutes per night including nightly reading, so not terrible. She loves her specials, which are classes in music, computers, art, etc. She has been given lots of opportunities to get involved such as Girls on the Run, Student Council, and Art Club. We couldn't have asked for a better 3rd grade teacher or year. PVE is definitely an A+ school!

This is a good school overall. I would have no problem recommending this school to a friend

I would not recommend allowing your children to attend Prairie View. After attending Prairie View for a few years we were so dissatisfied with the school we sold our home just to get away from it. After having my kids attend a new school I realized how far behind they were than their peers in the same grade. My old son could not complete simple math problems (addition or subtraction up to 20) in the 4th grade. As time goes by at our new school I am finding out how far behind both of my children really are. I can't imagine what would have happened if we had stayed there until they went to middle school.

Everybody at Prairie View is kind and helpful from the principal to the custodians. If you are looking for a great school to send your child, you've found it!

Prairie View was just named a National School of Character (one of only 14 in the whole state)! Teachers and staff are top notch and have made school a special place for my 2 children.

PVE has been wonderful to my children. We moved to the district when my daughter was in 4th grade. They were very accommodating and made us feel a part of the school.

Amazing school! My daughter is in her 3rd year at PVE and I couldn't be happier.

My 2 oldest children went to this school. My oldest daughter is dyslexic and they were less than helpful. The only year my daughter didn't cry and fight about going to school was in kindergarten. They were wonderful with my son, but he only went there in kindergarten. I found it apalling that no matter what grade your child is in, they will come home with at least 1 hour of homework. I had a newborn to take care of so trying to deal with a newborn, at least 2 hours of homework, cook dinner and give baths get kids to bed was nearly impossible. I was so happy to move away from PVE and Wentzville school district
