Both of my children have attended Lu Sutton, and I am glad to have two more years at this neighborhood school. The staff and administration are incredibly warm and approachable. The diversity of the community is truly enriching, as are the many community events that take place at the school throughout the year. I see a lot of happy, stimulated, engaged kids at Lu Sutton. Their PTA and ELAC groups do an astonishing amount to bring enrichment opportunities with limited resources. My 6th grader was very well prepared for the rigor of middle school coming out of Lu Sutton, and my 3rd grader is thriving academically and as a well-rounded human thanks to the "specials." I feel immensely grateful to be part of this school community.

I am so grateful that all three of my kids will be able to go to Lu Sutton. The staff is amazing and the community is so welcoming. I am so proud of my the attention my son has gotten here. His behavior and academic abilities have soared since he transferred from Hamilton Elementary school to Lu Sutton.

Lu Sutton Elementary is an amazing school with truly wonderful teachers and a supportive staff that work to give kids the best education possible! My daughter just graduated from here and is now in middle school and thanks Lu Sutton everyday for preparing her for it. What makes Lu Sutton stand out from the rest of Novato's is that it emphasizes on project based learning and developing reading and writing skills very early in students. It has done a terrific job adjusting to the Common Core Standards and is already outperforming compared to schools with similar demographics and enrollment. Under Principal Bonnie Baron, the school has seen many changes for the better and is moving towards being a cleaner and happier place for students. I am exceptionally proud of our school!

We were very impressed with Lu Sutton and have grown to love it and its wonderful staff. The teachers at this school are very experienced and teach the students to be aware of of their community and what they can do to improve it. I am very satisfied with the education here as the teachers also challenge the students with fun extra-credit projects and encourage them to do more than what is expected! It boasts fun, hands on projects and after school classes in science, arts, and music! If I could choose any school to move my kids to, I wouldn't, Lu Sutton is the best!

Lu Sutton has the best parent community in Novato, hands down. Do you want to interact with genuinely nice parents and have your child go to school with really sweet and friendly kids? Well, then you want Lu Sutton. The teachers are exceptional and I've been thrilled with the education my child has received here. At every turn, he's been supported appropriately, whether he was excelling at something and needed an extra challenge, or he was struggling and needed support. The other great thing about Lu Sutton that some schools lack is diversity. I didn't want my child in a homogenous school. At Lu Sutton, he's had the opportunity to interact with kids of all different backgrounds. That's a critical part of his education, too! We are so glad we chose Lu Sutton and feel it's been the best and most supportive environment for our child.

So far Lu Sutton has been consistant with there teachings for my daughter. Although as parents we are very diligent in practicing at home the school has done more than we could. They offer an inclusive environment and though its very early I feel this may be a good fit in the education we are looking for.

I am a student here at Lu Sutton, and have been for 6 years (k-5th) I've had so many experiences here. I love my teachers so much they've not only taught me lessons about subjects in school but in life as well I've learned to give up and always be kind I can't asked for more at this school I love the staff as well as my school mates there like a second family, so loving, caring, thoughtful, helpful,and most importantly friendly I couldn't ask for more I grew up here and I'm so sad to leave for Middle school next year but that's what Lu Sutton staffs been preparing me for I love this school and I'm happy to be here.

I think the teachers are quite good and are very experienced. But I am not satisfied with the principal. She does not seem to be able to relate to the parents. There seems to be a personal touch missing.
