My grandson attended Lassen K thru 5th. Mrs Ramage, Ms Gerrie, Ms Gloria, Mrs Magdalano, Mr O were a wonderful team for him. I'll never forget them and the difference they made for my grandson.

Lassen Elementary is wonderful little school tucked away in North Hills. The Lassen team does everything they can to meet their students needs. They find different resources for their students to be successful and for them to thrive in their educational journey. They provide inclusion for students with special needs in their SPED Program. They have a Spanish Dual Language Program which provides multicultural immersion for student to learn in two languages and constantly identifying gifted students. The new Principal, Mrs. Okereke, is a fresh new attitude to the schools dynamic. She has wonderful ideas to further the education of the students and promotes comradery within her staff. Lassen has truly been a positive experience in my educational carrier. Small but mighty school with caring staff.

My child with autism receives their education in a special education classroom. Yet, the teachers work together and my child plays, learns and makes friends with other students who are in regular classrooms. The students attend science, music and computer together. They also go on field trips to museums, UCLA, and the Music Center. All students at Lassen have the opportunity to receive after school tutoring.

Lassen is an amazing school. The principal, Dana Carter, has worked very hard at creating a.very strong instructional program. I can confidently say, as a parent, that the students received a quality educatiom , under the leadership of Ms. Carter. Ms. Carter worked with the parents and considered their suggestion in making decisions. Dana Carter is a strong instructional leader who has made many sacrifices for the students at her school. She is a creative strong, intelligent visionary. Lassen will miss Ms. Carter for her leadership, creativity, and the self sacrificing spirit in which she served Lassen elementary.

Lassen has an amazing dedicated staff. The principal is extremely dedicated to the students and puts in countless hours to make sure everything is perfect for her students and staff. Ms. Carter has always demonstrated immediate attention to my concerns. She is extremely focused to student achievement and their social emotional growth. I give Ms. Carter five stars! The office staff is always attentive. They make you feel welcomed and show concern for the students. The teachers put in many hours after work to ensure that they are prepared and stay with students that need extra support. In all Lassen is an all around great school.

I love Lassen!!!! Not too many schools involve the parents and community like Lassen does with the fundraising and schools events like this past year's Movie Night, Harvest Festival, and the Read-A-Thon. Being involved is encouraged by the Administrators, Teachers, and Staff! We are going to miss Mrs. Carter! The Teacher's and staff are amazing! I would definitely recommend this school!

Staff is horrible, too busy eating and snacking to get a signature from the principal. Over all the teachers are great!

The teachers are great. It's the staff that are terrible. They all have a nasty attitude problem. The principal won't listen to anything you have to say, she won't even greet your child. If you don't want to deal with rude people I suggest you don't put your child here. They all act as if they hate their jobs.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! They are understaffed when it comes to the safety of your children being watched on the play yard, and the office staff including the principal are negligent and incompetent! The staff doesn't care about your child or yourself as a parent. They're only there for a paycheck. The principal makes a lot of excuses when her staff messes up even when it directly effects your child. She doesn't admit to fault, and she takes no accountability whatsoever. What raises an eyebrow is that she does protect her staff, the staff protects themselves, but no one protects the children!!!

Three of my children have attended this school. My youngest one graduated last year. Even though he was not in the "gifted" class, he received a wonderful education. Don't send your child here if you're planning on being part of the PTO. I can tell you from personal experience that what the parents say, want, desire for the children's school, does not matter. The principal will always do what she wants. She will manipulate things. She makes you believe she listens to you and that your word is valuable, yet she does what she wants. Parents don't feel welcomed at this school.

Terrible experience, the teachers are adequate, however the staff is a group of fools. They do not pay any attention to the students, the obscenities that I've heard little 1st graders say are unspeakably terrible, bullying is an enormous problem, and the staff just stands around doing nothing about it. Please do not send your child here for the sake of their childhood.

My daughter will be attending her 5th year at this school. I have loved all her teachers. They have great communication with the parents. She has had some assignments that are time consuming but are a great learning tool. She will be going into third grade and she already got exposed to doing research papers and interviews. I am glad that I found this school.

Great school! My son graduated from this school three years ago and now my daughter is going to kinder here. They have a dance class for the 4th and 5th grades called "best foot forward" where they teach the kids how to ball room dance where they compete with other schools. They also have a computer class where they have an instructor from "computerwise kids" come three times a week to teach 3rd 4th and 5th grades computer skills like how to make a presentation on power point. Unfortunately due to budget cuts they cannot provide it for the rest of the grades and they may not even have this program for the upcoming year. So if any parents out there reading this and if you have any ideas on how to keep this program please come on out and be involved in the PTA and ELAC! We need your help parents! I would give the school five stars if there was more parent participation in the meetings we hold monthly. Especially when we review the budget.
