I have been with this school for almost 6 years, the school has been amazing. My children have improved academically by the year. Our school principal that we will miss so much is retiring. I have nothing but positive things to say about her. Any incidents happen with my children she would handle it the hour of. Thank you Ms. Gomez, Plummer will dearly miss you. I hope the new principal makes a big impact to our school next school year.

The principal is the greatest. She’s very helpful, and she loves all her kids, as well as the vice principal and all the teachers and all the aids, including the nurse. My son goes there and he’s never had any problems whatsoever and he’s doing great. All these negative comments they mean nothing they’re ridiculous. People just have one bad experience with somebody or themselves having a bad day and trying to ruin it for everybody else.

Extremely bad. Don't send your children to this school. Don't waste your child's time and yours. Bullies everywhere, undisciplined, bad principal, total chaos.

I have gone there for about 5 years and it is the best school ever. They like to help the community by cleaning around the neighborhood. The school is also always clean. They make learning fun too. I would suggest this school to any parents that love their child

I will have to disagree with those negative comments by other parents. My daughter is in Kindergarten and I had low expectations when my daughter started coming here. Since schools started I been more than amazed with all staff and that includes from Ms. Gomez to all teachers specially Ms. Osorio everybody is great and I truly recommend this school. If you don't like something or you see your child is getting mistreated by other children Ms. Gomez will get involved and resolved the issue. As a parent you have to speak up for your children the staff at Plummer are not mind readers.

Ms. Gomez and the staff on this school exceed my expectations. Since Miss Gomez become the principal at this school the long problem of traffic, safety and security especially in the morning dropped-off has been addressed and the cleanliness also. The only thing needs improvement is the library books are way too old and library is not equipped with new technology, same as the school classrooms. And ill give 5 stars to Ms. Amaya in 2nd grade and Ms. Blackman in 4th grade. My son is lucky to have them as his teachers. Hope they will continue to be more passionate on their vocations as a teacher.

this school isnt what it used to be. clueless, unengaged principal and mediocre disciplinary action. this school history has gone from bad, to decent, to worse than it was before. i took my kids out of this school and enrolled up the street at lassen elementary.

This is a wonderful school: big, clean campus in a safe neighborhood, library, huge computer lab, on-site cafeteria, fantastic pre-k program, SAS program, and quality teachers! It greatly improved a few years ago with a fabulous principal. However, the school could use a more engaged principal who is better at building school morale and a sense of community among parents.

Plummer just started a PTA group. It will be nice to get support from a strong national and state group like PTA that advocates for our children.

A gem of a school that is slowly going back down. Dr. Barrett and staff worked hard to improve plummer, my two oldest sons graduated from plummer 2 years ago and had no problems grades k-6. This year my daughter is in fourth grade, she tell me at home that the school is out of control and that incidents always occur. what is startling is that there is NO DISCIPLINE , my kids tell me problematic students arent punished or face a consequence they are just left out to roam freely. principal is overwhelmed with academic and behavioral problems.

Can someone tell me who is a good 1st grade teacher at Plummer? My son is shy and responds much better at this age to a female teacher.

Plummer Elementary. My daughter has been attending Plummer since kinder, she will be in 5th grade 2013-2014 school year. She has had the best teachers, specially Mrs. Welch and Mrs. Blackman, they are both caring, endearing teachers in their own rights; helping reach the students full potentials

I would like to commend the teachers of my kids, Mr. A Velasquez and Ms. E. Hampel for all their hard work and dedication this year. They have both shaped the minds of my schoolers to become a better person and better learners. Plummer ES should be very proud and lucky to have such quality educators!

Kudos! to ALL safety valet Volunteers. We feel safe and secure.every morning now. I can now drop off my kids from the valet and the traffic flow have improved a lot since they implemented this safety valet program...

With the new Principal comes new worries! She is not as TOUGH as Dr. Barrett & has brought school moral to a new low. Stay away from this school! The leadership is clearly not what it used to be. The new principal is incredibly overwhelmed and unsure of how to take care of this gem of a school. She seriously needs to be replaced. A school that once used to bring pride is now at a new low! So sad.

My daughter goes to Plummer and loves it! She is in sixth grade this year. She loves her math teacher the most, but thinks all of her teachers are great. She used to hate math, but says that she finally gets it because of Mr. Mollens fun teaching and explaining. I am so grateful for having such wonderful people there!!

My son is new into this school, he is a transferee started last March the first thing I noticed is the school safety it's way far from the school where my son from at Wilshire Park Elementary LA I salute the principal and the PTA staff how dedicated they are it come to the safety of the children especially in the morning. And you hardly see the principal Mr. Franco not to be outside to make sure the safety of their student. Why I mention this because the staff off this school show exemplinary action and concern, and that i slowly notice to the new principal of Plummer Ms.Ibia Gomez I hope this is not only for now but it's a good start to build rapport to the parents and school staff. And also I hope they would open more rest room especially near to the lower levels. My son got accident because rest room is to far away from their classroom, he's now in room 31. And for the teachers my son teacher in 1st grade I forgot the name she is in room 23 she ok only is that she is always late to pick her student in the field. And now in 2nd grade his new teacher Ms. Amaya don't now her yet that much but so far with our last meeting she is impressive hoping for more !!!
