The people here are awful. Tuition does not add up with education l. This school made me feel like a nobody.

I am an alumni of the school, and I would say my experience was overall pretty positive. I got an exemplary education and I truly enjoyed elementary school, but middle school was rough. Around the time I began middle school, Terra Verde went down a path I was very vocal in my distain for. Instead of focusing on being green, on nature, on alternative education, and positivity, the school very obviously became more focused on money and getting a profit. It was heartbreaking to see, but I knew I would prefer it over public school. The school entirely lost any green education by the time I was in 8th grade. It was a big qualm for me. Though, my biggest issue was how the teachers were trained to handle mental health issues. In middle school, I developed both an eating disorder and severe reliance on NSSI. I was practically crying out for help every day, and I received no assistance aside from one teacher who pulled me aside only when I had a full-blown meltdown in her class where I was screaming and crying. I was also labeled as a “trouble maker” by some teachers because I would hold hands with another female classmate and I would frequently fall asleep in class. They contacted my mother to complain and only listened to anything I had going on when my mother informed them of everything happening at home. I received no support from my teachers during that time. But you know who did receive support? The (white) kid in my class who kept saying the n-word and got no repercussions because his parents were getting a divorce. If I could put emotional support lower, I would. However, if your kids have a safety network outside of school, the education and 1-on-1 time with teachers is amazing.

This school has been incredible for my son and for our family. If you want your child to love learning and going to school, this is the place for you.

Both of our kiddos go here, and we've experienced not only an excellent education, but a village of teachers, faculty, and other families who love and care for our children. My kids hate missing school because they know there's always something fun or creative planned for the day. The school cares about virtues, the environment, entrepreneurship, and preserving the joys of childhood and learning. From big shares to Capstone presentations, the school encourages public speaking and interactions between school and family. There's always a variety of ways to get involved as a parent along with opportunities to participate in the school day. We're so grateful for this community!

My child attended this school for 3 years, and it was a deeply disappointing experience. The quality of education was shockingly poor considering its $14,000, with outdated materials and a curriculum that seemed more focused on rote memorization than critical thinking skills. My child struggled to fit in due to the cliquish nature of the student body, and there was little effort from the staff to promote inclusivity or support for those who were different. The staff themselves were incredibly unorganized, often failing to communicate effectively with parents. The principal was virtually unreachable, ignoring my attempts to discuss my concerns and seeming indifferent to the needs of students and parents alike. One of the most troubling aspects of this school is the complete lack of care for students who don't fit into their narrow definition of a "good student." If your child doesn't conform to their expectations, they are essentially left to fend for themselves, with little to no support from teachers or administrators.Overall, my experience with this school was extremely negative for middle school. It felt like a giant bubble, isolating my child from the real world and failing to provide the education and support they needed to succeed. I would strongly advise against sending your child to this school for middle school and above if you are looking for a well-rounded education in a supportive environment.

I used to go to this school. It’s grata for elementary, but middle school is awful. I have recently left this school. I moved to a public school and I was so insanely behind. You would think paying over $14,000 you would get a good education, but NO. I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone. Also, once you leave that school, it’s like you never went there. The principal of this school is totally ignoring my emails and is making me feel invisible. It you want your kid to be trapped in a bubble away from reality, sure go ahead and send them here, but I can bet college won’t be pretty.

Our son has been enjoying his first year at Terra Verde. The teachers and headmaster have been very responsive to our requests. The main idea at the school is that kids should enjoy their childhood. They give lots of time for play. This year we as parents were invited to watch the kids having a blast celebrating Halloween in the gym, dressed up in their costumes, dancing to spooky songs. Seem to be many smart kids here, many children of professors at OU. The school is relatively new, beautiful buildings, new gym called "the Nest". Huge, sprawling campus with lots of room to play. The chef used to work at the local gourmet Italian restaurant, great food! Wonderful school with a very reasonable tuition.
