My kids have been coming to this school since 2019, so far we had a great experience. Teachers go above and beyond to make the most out every experience, parents are involved which also makes a great impact for the students and school overall.

Not such a great school as others seem to report.

We've been an Eisenhower family for six years now and have nothing but awesome things to say!

My daughter is going into 5th grade and has spent her entire elementary at Eisenhower. We love this school. She has had the most amazing, caring teachers, and has been encouraged to be involved and learn more everyday. The PTA could be a little more organized and involved, but I understand that alot of working parents can't devote a bunch of time. She is fairly responsible so that could be part of it. With the renovations to the school and the fantastic breadth of teachers/ resources, I would recommend Eisenhower any day.

In looking at a lot of the older reviews, I see a lot of focus on the open concept. Good news, folks... there are walls now! My child loves Eisenhower (as does the rest of our family). She wakes up every morning excited to go to school. The opportunities provided to them (clubs, afternoon adventures, field trips, outdoor classroom) show me that they are invested in developing my child into an all-around good human.

We love Eisenhower! The leadership, faculty, and staff create such a strong family dynamic while ensuring the students grow and develop into intelligent, kind, inclusive individuals.

Excellent. This school has definitely helped my son Excell and most everyone knows my son by name for good reasons. Feels like family and huge help.

This school has gone down the last couple of years. Its a shame that the state is just giving anyone a teaching certificate.

We are really pleased with the recent remodel. The open platform is now a closed room platform. It really works much better and I think our kids will only improve their performance. The building itself looks nice with the refresh. We've always had great experiences with our kids' teachers. They really seem to care about their kids. The front office staff are easy to work with and helpful. We're very happy with our experiences, and glad to see the improved layout.

Eisenhower has undergone a major transformation. It is not the same school it was two years ago. The district has invested a significant amount of money into building classrooms and eliminating the open floor concept. There is no more distractions from adjacent classes that were only separated by bookshelves. The children now have their own classrooms without any outside distractions. It's hard to believe its the same school. Teachers were great to work with and will work with you and your child in improving areas they struggle in. It will be interesting to see how much Eisenhower improves testing scores after receiving a much needed renovation.

We like Eisenhower and the teachers. So many parents want to blame the schools instead of getting involved or communicating with the teachers weekly. The brand new remodel looks amazing, especially the new library. There seem to be a lot of complaints about the open concept floor plan and I have to admit it did worry me as well, but after seeing my boys adapt and how all of the students and teachers could work together in that environment I felt a lot better about it. I do like that it is now closed, but only for the safety of our kids in this ugly world. Both my boys and nephew love this school. My only complaint is the class sizes. This isn't necessarily the schools fault but the district not being able to keep up with growth and planning. I do believe Norman needs another Elementary School in this area. I have visited other elementary schools on the Eastside of Norman. By far Eisenhower, Jefferson, and Washington are the best.

Bad experience with most teachers and staff Bad experience for my children,I would get a call every other day telling my son was being bullied and nothing was being done about it. My son peed on himself because the parent on playground duty would not allow him to use the restroom and he spent the day with pee all over him and never got a call, when I picked him up from school he still had pee all over him. Completely disgusted with this school, they need mostly all new staff

I do not like the open classrooms, they are very distracting. I do not understand why candy is given for good work instead of points to bring up grades! Not sure how that is an educational reward. When I went to school, good work was rewarded with points & helping other kids that were having a hard time. Sometimes, another child can help someone understand the problem on a kids level. It worked great for many years, don't know why it stopped. What happened to the prizes of a free pan pizza for reading so many books instead of silly stringing a teacher? I had a son that was a spead reader & got several pizzas in 1 week, we made a deal with the teacher & he helped some of the other kids, at the end of the week they put together all of the prizes & had a party for the class (instead of a snack). They were all so proud of thereselves & reading became fun. Needs to bring back some basic skills.

I hate Eisenhower! The school is an open concept ( no walls). This makes it difficult for the kids to focus. The principle is always in her office and if you talk to her about a concern she does not address it She nods her head and agrees with you but never takes any action. She is an absent principle. The Pre-K teacher does the bare minimum and has no creativity. My child has fallen backwards in her classroom. I am now doing the teaching when she returns home from her social hour at school. Their is no supervision out in front of the school or inside the front doors. Children are wondering around outside, in front of the office, lunchroom, hallways, bathrooms, and gym in the mornings. Anyone can come and go during this time. Parents are parking in the drop off lane and getting out leaving everyone else to go around their car. Parents are making a second drop off lane and children are walking between cars. A child is going to get ran over. The schools rating is dropping each year and the staff does not seem to care. We bought a house in this district less than a year ago and we will be selling our home and searching for another one as soon as finances allow.

I absolutely do not like the open school concept. I feel that it is very disruptive to the children. My child has fallen behind since we have moved to this school. There are so many new teachers and they just always seem so overwhelmed. We will be moving to a new school district. It does not seem that there is a lot of parent involvement either.
