Parent of three kids that have gone through the KP Middle School. This building has a terrible culture. It was obvious the teachers did not teach throughout Covid and it hasn’t gotten any better since. The administration is inept.

I am disappointed of the school. My son brought 50$ worth of snacks and sodas into the school. The superintendent took all the snacks and sodas away from them and they blackmailed the kids at the table. After taking their field day.

The move to middle school in a regional school district is one of the most challenging, if not the most challenging step, for kids, parents, and educators, alike. I'm so impressed with the seemless and frankly, upgrade that our 3 kids have experienced. The teachers establish a high standard for the remainder of the students time in King Philip system and the enrichment and extracurricular programs truly enhance this transition and help to ensure near full participation. I do agree that we, as a society, now place a premium on inclusion, at times at the expense of teaching the realities of self accountability, but I believe this transition (7th grade-1 school) within a regional district is an acceptable time to err on the side of inclusion and confidence building. Parents need to do their part in teaching the tough stuff at home and not leave it all to schools. Last comment for readers here; focus on what parents are saying, we are the most invested and engaged about our kids school. We are simultaneously, the loudest critics and the greatest fans when either is earned. I rate it "Good" on this scale, but in my own words, KPMS is north of good and on the way to great.

Attention to detail, teachers that demand real effort, writing programs that challenge...my 8th grade daughter writes like a novelist and this is because of her teachers. KP gets a bad rap from parents because its a "regional school" and parents think their little Johnny or Sally is better than that. Gives kids insight to high income, low income, middle income people and empathy for all walks of life. Could not be happier. Puts Ursuline and Blessed Sacrament to shame academically. Have you ever heard of a boy NOT being admitted to Xaverian?

To let everyone know, all of the bad reviews are lies. KP stops bullying, and has great teachers and principals. If there is anything that goes wrong they do their best to fix it. There are resource classes, level 2 classes, and level 1 classes. There are great education services, tons of nice teachers, and teacher assistants. Parents! Do not be afraid to send your child here! It is a great school and i bet your child or children will love it. If there are any questions before going, just contact them.

My school is not the best but it does offer many things. It offers friendship, equality, and the love that each teacher gives to each student is as caring as a parent to a child. The school spirit i could write about for years. On our KP spirit days, the school looks like it threw up a bag of green and yellow! IT'S AMAZING! We accept all, and use the golden rule 24/7. Bullying is absouletly not a problem here. Go KP!

Like other school districts, King Philip Regional Middle School is resorting to the 'everyone gets a trophy' mentality. No longer are students recognized at an end of year awards ceremony for their efforts and achievements. The eighth grade promotion ceremony consisted of a reflection of two years for the class which was nice but it was quite noticeable that there is recognition for academic achievements is quite diminished from past years - perhaps due to social pressures? who knows...but this is now a common theme in schools and too bad KPMS has succumbed to the pressure. The music program is top notch and the majority of teachers in major subjects, etc. This change in recognition for academic achievements fall squarely on the leadership and certainly changed my impression of the school. It is no wonder there is an increasing number of students in the district that are choosing private schools.

This district school administration is horrible but the teaching staff is good. The sports here is wonderful, the band community is awesome, but the gestapo practice of the districts administration should be investigated by the state.

I have been very satisfied with the education my children received here. It is a nice transition to high school. Frequent emails keep parents informed. Dedicated, caring teachers.

My daughter had a very difficult year due to an ongoing medical issue. The guidance counselor, front office & teachers worked with us to ensure that she was able to stay current and pass on time. We received amazing support throughout the year and I am eternally grateful that my daughter was at KPMS this year. This is a terrific school run by caring & committed professionals. Move into this district if you can.
