Excellent. My son has Asperger's and cannot deal with the normal school setting in the social aspect. it is too overwhelming and overstimulating for him. We had nothing but problems in the traditional setting where he was out of the classroom 80% of the day. I was called constantly and he was being sent home constantly because the school is not competent at dealing with kids who have autism. At SLC he is able to process things immediately with the counselor and they know how to handle his perseveration and melt downs. The social aspect isn't as overwhelming becaus ethere are 50 kids as opposed to over 1000. They do not send the kids home whe there is an issue, they work with them to help them strategize and learn how to cope better and overcome the obstacles of their diagnoses. Also helps with my child's anxiety. Great staff - all are patient, competent, and caring.

The skills program has been a good fit for my son. He could not go to the school in our district due to behaviors. I was called every day to go and get him because he was hitting other kids and threatening teachers. Since he has been going to seacoast learning collaborative I have not been called once and his behaviors at school and at home are wonderful. the staff especially Ms. Brown are wonderful to work with. It is really a positive place. I would recommend this school and the skills program to other parents.

This is not a good school. Had to give it one star because there is not an option for zero stars. I disliked everything about this school while my child went here. My child hated it and I hated it. The skills program is just the worst.

The entire staff at SLC puts forth extraordinary effort, patience, and understanding on a daily basis to achieve what some might say is impossible. They never lose sight of each student's goals, and work smartly to help students overcome the myriad obstacles they face in life. I know of no other educational community that does what they do as well as they do it.

I use to be a student here and at first I didn't think I would like it here but over time I made many friends and conquered my anxiety. I give this school credit for giving me my life back. Because of them I now know how to manage my anxiety and was able to successfully transfer back to my public school. I am a senior this year and because of how many credits I earned at slc I graduated in October and I'll be returning in June to graduate with my class. Thank you to slc and it's staff for helping me believe in myself and for giving me my life back.
