My children are thriving after transitioning from public school. They’re always excited to go every morning. The teachers are incredibly caring and passionate about the kids. The only downside is the low enrollment, but I hope it continues to grow and be successful

this school was amazing up until my 8th grade year, when instead of being taught what i needed to know for highschool we were forced into the COVID cohorts and i was made to re learn 7th grade math again. the math teacher was highly unprofessional and gave us work without teaching it and told my class in the beginning of the year that we were below average and didn’t do anything to fix it. everything has completely shifted, including their goals and it went from being about the student to about the money. the only two teachers that were beneficial to me either got fired or pushed to retire for running the school on minimal payment and being taken advantage of. i attended from 1-8 grade, and was bullied up until 5th grade with no actions taken against it.

Our child attended Hampstead Academy last year and had a wonderful experience. This year new teachers & principal and the wonderful school experience has become a bullying nightmare. Not only are there students bullying others, the current teachers don’t care! In fact they do nothing at all but put kids in front of screens while they use their cell phones. Meeting with the teachers & principal did nothing. We will not be returning next year!

Poor, inexperienced and negligent pastoral care. Severe punishments for minor misbehaviour, yet they failed to properly investigate and address a possible case of bullying. We as a family were kept in the dark until the situation became beyond repair.

Hampstead Academy has been wonderful for our son, who is in 7th grade. Due to the COVID pandemic , he really missed out on furthering his academic learning in 6th grade at his previous school. Because of the small classes, his teachers were able to get him right up to speed, and he is once again excelling in school. Hampstead Academy has made learning fun for him again.

HA offers a student centered approach to teaching while maintaining the highest quality educational standards. Their specialty programs, including Spanish, Art, Music, PE, and, STEAM are outstanding. The entire community is focused on creating an environment in which students fall in love with learning and pursue it as a life-long passion. We are thrilled with the school.

This school has helped my two children come out of their shells. It has laid the groundwork for them to succeed in whatever they choose to do. I am more than grateful for the teachers and staff in helping my children be themselves. This school will forever hold a place in my heart.

My husband and I felt my son was not being challenged in his Public School so last year we made the move to Hampstead Academy. We were told HA had a strong STEAM & academic program, taught students to their individual needs & were equipped to work with advanced students. Unfortunately, this could not be further from the truth. My son was less challenged at HA then in his past public school. Very basic Math was covered in class once or twice a week. Writing was done once a week in only their logs books. Homework mostly consisted of Penmanship work. Hampstead Academy professed to offer a great STEAM program but we saw no evidence of ANY of it displayed in their homework, school work or report cards. In fact, during the start of last years school year, their special designated Steam Room was completely bare. The school sent parents regular emails begging for donations for their Steam Room. It was a disgrace. My son’s homeroom teacher was so behind in basic technology, she had no idea how to scan a document or work with Power Point. The icing of the cake for us, was their poor gym program and lack of sports. The boys in this school don’t grow up being boys. They hardly know how to dribble or throw a ball. Honestly, the whole year was a complete waste. We will not be returning this Sept and I understand 50+ other students school wide will also not be returning. Save your money and seek other alternatives for your child’s education.

My daughter has been a student at Hampstead Academy for 6 years. We wanted a school with small class sizes, a strong enrichment program, and a caring and supportive environment . Our first tour of the school confirmed what we were searching for. Each teacher, from primary to the specials, has helped my daughter to explore outside her comfort zone and she is thriving. It is a wonderful community to be part of.

Our children have attended Hampstead Academy for years and we could not be happier with the education and the community that is HA. Hampstead Academy truly does focus on the whole experience for your child, not just academically but socially and emotionally as well. The teachers are amazing, intelligent, dedicated, caring people who have always made us feel as though they are wholly invested in our children's education and growth. As most parents will tell you, every child is different and has different needs, including our boys. It amazes us how well HA has been able to tailor the education that our children have received to help both boys learn and grow in their own way. It is a wonderful school with amazing opportunities, advanced technology and a ver caring staff. We feel very lucky to have found HA.

I have two children at this school and we have been there for almost 10 years. Both children have had an amazing experience. The teachers have been so great and always willing to go above and beyond for each student. The school has given my kids a love for learning that I don't think they could have found many other places. One of the best choices we have made for our kids to date is sending them here.

My daughter has been at Hampstead Academy since kindergarten and it has been a positive experience for her each year. The teachers are great and take the time to get to know all the students. The curriculum is both challenging and exciting. The new maker space this year was a great addition to their school. I love how they incorporate topics from their main classroom into their other classes. The school offers many extra curricular activities for the kids, from Mad Science, Lego League, Destination Imagination, sports and drama to name a few. With all they offer it allows my child to be a well rounded student. My daughter goes to school each morning excited and ready to learn.

Not a strong enough academic program. The math curriculum is lacking in strong instruction and follow up.

Hampstead was not a good choice for our child. While the small school environment was good at times, it was also too small at other times. Sometimes there was not a big enough selection of friends with different interests. This was not necessarily a concern for our child most of the time BUT something to consider. Our main concern is the fact that the school has a very very poor math program at the middle school level which they have ignored for years, even after numerous complaints and requests from many parents for review. We supplemented at home with private tutors at an additional cost to our family. The problem comes down to loyalty among staff as opposed to hiring/firing when necessary. An age old problem with public schools that seems to plague this small school as well. This is not something our family thinks is what you "pay for". My child has now moved onto high school and is still suffering the effects of the poor math instruction and still continues with private tutors to try and play catch up. Although the school was a nurturing safe environment, it was not a school suited to a child moving onto a rigorous academic high school.

My 2 children are currently students at Hampstead Academy and I cannot speak highly enough about the school. The teachers are excellent and the environment is nurturing yet stimulating. We have loved watching them thrive and grow in their time at the school. The school really does develop the whole child with exceptional visual and performing arts and STEM (science, technology and maths) programs. The school helps the children learn how to think and problem-solve creatively and to be enthusiastic and confident learners and citizens. I highly recommend the school.

My daughter graduated from this school and has since finished both high school and college. Throughout highschool and her college years she was constantly applauded for her confidence, her dedication to work, her organization and her leadership skills. To this day the answer to all of this remains the same, Hampstead Academy. I would reccommend this school to every parent concerned that their child is not being challenged in their current school or that is looking for a nurturing and positive environment. The program is solid, the teachers dedicated, the classes accelerated, and the environment like a second family. Who could pass all that up when you want your child to be challenged, to be loved and to be successful?

Hampstead Academy's motto is "educate the whole child." My son is thriving academically, but perhaps even more importantly the school is helping him to grow into an amazingly kind, thoughtful, independent and well-rounded young person.

Hampstead Academy was the perfect solution for our son entering middle school. He's about to graduate, and we are very happy with the way he has grown over the past three years. The academics are excellent, but HA offers so much more. It's a real community, yet every child is treated as an individual, too, and celebrated for his or her accomplishments. The extra-curricular offerings are great, as well, with the school's teams going on to win state, regional, and national championships in Destination Imagination, Lego League, spelling, math, and geography contests, etc. It is very reasonably priced for a nondenominational private school. The sports teams are small, but enthusiastic. The one thing that could be done to improve the academic experience for students who enter later than 2nd or 3rd grade is to offer a class during the weekly activity period in academic schools, to help them get organized and up to speed with the school's expectations. His first year was very stressful because he didn't really have the skills to tackle time-management of long-term projects, multiple assignments, etc. He also didn't have the tech presentation skills other kids had.

Sending my daughter to preschool at Hampstead was a no-brainer....what she knows and articulates at Age 3 blows me away compared to friends children of the same or older age. Absolutely signing her up for another year!
