Amazing kindergarten teachers. Wonderful afterschool program. Many volunteer opportunities for parents and very supportive of new families.

This school is a blessing! The teachers are amazing, the extra curriculars awesome, the principal is incredible, and the parent involvement opportunities are frequent and diverse. We came from another elementary school after requesting a transfer due to dissatisfaction, and for the last 2 years Ward Elementary School has been the answer to our prayers. Our daughters have been high achievers here and their confidence has soared since coming to this school.

Ward is like a prison for kids. They are certainly not BOY friendly. They can't play like children should at recess. No soccer, football -flag/nerf, no tag. They have a field but can only play on the cement tennis courts? Overly rigid, strict. Not understanding about children and not supportive to families. They are only interested in the smart kids with good test scores. I would never send my kid here if there was a choice. Elementary school should be fun and about love of learning and self-esteem. At Ward that is their motto and it is a joke! Those things aren't being fostered there.
