My child always returns home happy and loves the way the teachers strive to make the day both educational and fun! A HUGE part of that is their principal, Mr. Clarke! He is wonderful and never stops working!

The new Principal is Incompetent!! ALL the children have assigned seating during their lunch. Your child will NOT be allowed to sit next to their friend. Forget about a happy snack time. They all have what the Principal calls Working snack . Then my second grader tells me her only recess is at 2 pm, just before they leave. Five and a half hours without a break. Consider this quality of life: 20 minute, assigned seating, QUIET lunch, working snacks and no recess until the end of the day. Plus if your child misses a day of school they WILL be doing their make-up work during their only recess when they get back. "Recess Club". I thought there were child labor laws preventing all of this? My daughter told me that her teacher spends most of her time texting on her phone. This is the most unfriendly school I have been to. Parent participation in the classroom is discouraged. When asked if I could participate in a special activity in my Daughter s class I was told NO, no parents are allowed. Before you enroll your child here, be sure to get the full story on what goes on at this school/hard labor camp. Room Moms and their Kids get special treatment here.

I have 1 child here from Kindergarten now in 5th and one starting pre-K and I love it. I can't say enough about how great it has been and how much my kids have loved it. To the parent complaining about field trips, every school in the county has budget cuts and no field trips. WOE has some of the nicest teachers I've ever worked with and parents are very welcome. I've been in many class parties, met the room moms and seen the dad who eats lunch with his daughter 2x a week enough to know. The music teacher is so great and when we met the pre K teacher during summer she remembered my son on the first day by name. I will never move my kids out of this school district.

White Oak Elementary is one of the best Elementary schools in Coweta County. The Principal knows exactly what he is doing and the staff is caring and compassionate towards our children. The parents are ALWAYS welcome to volunteer their time, have lunch with their child, come to parties (when it is feasible). I have been at White Oak with my children for 7 years now and I have NEVER been told I couldn't do something. I find it interesting that someone would spread that rumor. If you are considering registering your child at White Oak, you will most definitely be welcomed with open arms. Then you will be able to make your own memories and form your own opinion about this wonderful school!!!

My daughter has been going to White Oak since she was in Pre-K. She is now in second grade and is still at White Oak. This school has been absolutely amazing! From our very first year to now we have NEVER had a problem! While walking her into school we are welcomed with bright smiles and a friendly " good morning!" by teachers and even the principle! Occasionally, the principle will even ask her about how soccer is going. ALL of the teachers treat my daughter as if she was one of their own. This school by far has the best staff any student or parent could ask for! I have been a "room mom" and also just a volunteer, I have never once felt like parent participation was discouraged. I have always been welcomed with open arms, and the teachers also are VERY thankful for the extra help! Our family is absolutely happy with White Oak and would never send our daughter to any other school!

The school is not very welcoming to parents. I think there is a disconnect somewhere in communication. School has the potential to be an excellent school, but the administration needs to get some things figured out.

I have two children at White Oak and two who have now moved on to high school. All that I can say is THANK YOU White Oak!!! The teachers, administrators, secretaries, custodians, and lunch room staff have all been A+++ I appreciate the opportunities such as academic bowl, chorus, elementary track, accelerated reader participation, the gifted program, etc.... Due to budget, field trips are limited to the Centre for Performing Arts but at least those continue. Strong PTO organization that makes you feel welcome. Plenty of support for ALL children. Parents ARE WELCOME at this SCHOOL. Always have been.

This is my child's last year at White Oak. He started in kindergarten and we have had a wonderful experience at this school. Top notch principal who is very involved and always present and available. Teachers are of excellent quality. The school is always clean. I just hate that all the building upgrades are being done in his last year here so we cannot truly appreciate them.
