As a former teacher at Arnall, I witnessed things that are extremely disturbing. Teachers in 7th grade have their own adult "clique" and if you're not "with them" you're against hem in their eyes. I was obviously not part of that clique because I witnessed them being so mean and just downright hateful to more passive teachers. The teachers would talk about students in the most derogatory ways behind closed doors. When I brought this up to the principal (P. Sullivan). He suggested we have a meeting as a 7th grade team to discuss our differences---did he bother to even join this meeting and hear out his teachers' concerns. No. The issues never ended and I left. If you are a teacher looking to teamwork mentality and strong leadership, stay away from Arnall. Teachers do not thrive at this school. Also, once the Principal said we needed to stop writing office referrals for minority groups because their home-life was culturally different so we should be more tolerant of the disrespectful behavior. See, here is the tithing, when a minority student falls behind academically or is written up it affects the school's CCRPI and Sullivan only cares about how his school is "outwardly viewed."

My child was bullied and beaten up in the bathroom. The principal did not call me. My child had to call me for help. I had to call 911 for him. He had a concussion and a head injury that put him in the hospital. The child who beat him was a special education kid. They did not get punished.

My son has had a horrible experience so far my son has an IEP he has been bullied punched in the arm he had his backpack thrown to the ground and the teachers through it under the rug the incident that really made me mad is one of the teachers told me my son misbehaved twice on the same day and when I went to talk to him about he said he did none of those things the teacher lied to me. This is one of the worst schools every. Bullying there’re is no bullying policy they say they have a stricken bullying policy not true my son was assaulted, call gay, and pushed and they did. I thing about it. They treat my kid like he is nobody. When we moved here 3 months ago I specifically chose this school CSU’s wit had good reviews but that is not true don’t ever take your kid here if he has an IEP. They have no respect for a child that has an IEP.

Bullying is swept under the rug. My special needs child was assaulted in the special education classroom. The staff did not give him medical attention he needed. The student who did the assault was never truly managed. Violent acts happen all the time in these special needs classrooms. Drug dogs search your kids on a scheduled basis with no communication home. Special needs kids are excluded and ignored by the rest of the staff and administrators. Do not go here.

My gifted, honor roll son started having some issues with not getting his school work done this year (7th grade) -Both his wonderfully compassionate principal and his gifted teacher (Both have PHDs in education) helped get him back up to par. This kind of personal attention brings meaning to "no child left behind " , and I am beyond grateful for Arnall & all of his instructors. He's had mostly happy experiences with great schoolmates as well. Best middle school in this part of GA IMHO...honestly best in the entire state! ~ from an extremely grateful mom

My son Caleb came to Arnall January 2015 which was the middle of the last school term. He is an IEP student and I was afraid that he would be behind being that he would have to adjust to another school and their rules plus meeting new friends. Mrs. Bocchinno and Mrs.Austin made my son's transition comfortable, his grades improved they went above and beyond to help him be successful at Arnall. They kept me informed, They stayed after school with him, I have never had to many teachers to offer the help that they gave my son Caleb, Then this school term started and he has Mrs. Peruza helping him, awesome teacher for going above and beyond, I receive daily updates, she stays after school with my son nearly everyday to make sure he receives the help that he needs to be successful( he hasn't had these type teachers throughout his whole academic life) . I wished that I had my son at Arnall starting at 6th grade( he came mid 7th grade) The whole atmosphere at Arnall is much better than at any other school that my son has attended.

This is my son's first year in middle school. He's a A/B student and has had a good experience with all but one teacher. She's one of the advanced math teachers. So far, no trouble with bullying or any other problems that require going to the principal. Granted, this is his first year, but so far, so good with that one exception.

I was nervous about sending my child to middle school. Arnall made this transition very easy. There is awesome communication between the school and parents. I love that they stay on too of updating the parent portal information. The Principal is amazing and I feel well informed and welcome at my child's school.

Our school is the truly the "Best of Best." Our principal, assistant principals, and counselors make every effort to personally know each student. Each teacher is supported to be his or her best and to ensure the success of every student. Every parent with whom I have worked has been of top quality. I moved my own children to Arnall. Both have professed a more positive attitude toward to school and have expressed gratitude for having made the move to Arnall.

I think this school is one of the very best and worst. Bullying is out of control,and the teachers are very mean according to other students.
