Lots of improvements have been made to CV over the last few years that better support students. No school is perfect and neither is CV, but they are focused on the right everyday things to provide a better learning environment and quality education. Lots of electives and advanced classes offered. The Mud Run in 2024 raised almost $19,000, which is impressive for a middle school! Parent and community support for this school is strong!

As a 6th grader it is pretty good, lockers are hard to open though.

Went there. Absolutely horrible and the district is homophobic and racist... they refuse to help their students and most of my teachers didn't help construct an ideal learning environment whatsoever

This school is a good school for students who want to learn and have fun at the same time. This school is full of opportunities for students who want to participate in things like clubs, OBOB, and leadership. Most teachers go out of there way to help students feel less like there listening to a two hour lecture, and more like learning this can also end in getting rewarded for trying and giving there school work a chance to mean something and help them out on the future.

Most likely better than the average middle school experience, but it was full of aggravation as part of the student leadership program and difficulties with getting the advanced classes I needed.

We moved here from a wonderful school district and were shocked at how poorly orgainized the Newberg School District is. There is no communication among the staff members and district personnel. One person would tell us one thing and then someone else would tell us something different. We would have to email 4 different individuals for a simple task and it would still be wrong or never relayed to the proper staff members. Our daughter almost failed to get into high school because her teacher failed to document her grade level and completion of the grade. The most disappointing factor was the lack of interest in developing kids learning at higher levels. There is not a TAG program for kids that need to be challenged like other school districts in the area and they removed all of the advanced classes.

I came and volunteered for my daughters classes. There were security clearances which is wonderful. The teachers and aids were very organized and the kids were a bunch of good kids that were there to learn. One thing that stood out was the compassionate care given and a cool learning environment for kids with learning disabilities-the program is a life skills type and everyone is in a caring environment. I am not confident these wonderful teachers and especially the teaching assistants are paid enough for what they do. They make the best out of it and I am so proud my kiddo gets to be part of CVMS.

This school has great education and is all about anti bullying. Cvms has great friendly teachers. The students epically miss our loved teachers Gwen Gilbertson and Troy Christiansen. The students urge Troy and Gwen to return or visit. Anyways CV is a great public school with great educational levels including high school classes. Chehalem Vally also have life skills classes and amazing life skills teachers, and they have kids coming all throught the yamhill county to enter into there life skills program.
