I'm very disappointed in this school. The motto is work hard be kind! My daughter is an outgoing and kind person and she has gotten nothing but bullied since 4th grade. I spoke with her teacher but they just shove everything under the rug...if you are a little different you will be treated like an outcast. I really don't blame the kids it's obviously parenting. I'm not saying everyone is horrible they have a nice phycologist and some of the teachers that help. I actually really liked this school but now the unkindness and entitled people thinking they are better than is sickening. I don't mind them being cliquey but not so mean spirited. They alienated my child and this is still going on.

Both my children have attended Tackan, with my youngest still enrolled. They both have excelled and we have been extremely happy with how they are treated and with all the faculty and staff. The Great School ratings are skewed, because it's hard to make progress when you are at the top of the range consistently and it's hard to serve the underserved when there aren't many underserved in this upper middle class community. Overall a great school!

Principal Dr. Allyn Leeds just retired. She had a special kind of relationship with each student. An Elementary School with approximately 400 students, K-5...she knew every student by name and their family too. An incredible person in general. Dr. Leeds handed over her school to New Principal Mr. Matthew Furey. A young, energetic and very nice person. His first year was challenged by COVID-19, but he’s done a remarkable job.Tackan is in great hands with Mr. Furey.

Excellent school! I transition my little one from homeschooling to Kindergarten and it was such a loving welcome. The principal cares a lot and the teachers are very sweet. Staff is very nice too. This school is a blessing. Thank you!
