With two children enrolled and one through Plainfield Elementary School, I can say I have been happy overall with the way the school and the teachers operate. I feel my children are receiving the amount of attention required for their needs. However, I do have children that aren't challenged enough. The school is great when it comes to education of 90% of the students. If your child is 'gifted' or the least bit intellectually advanced, or should your child require special attention for learning disabilities, the school seems to lack here. I do not have any direct interaction regarding learning disabilities, but have heard it is improving.

Overall, Plainfield was a good school for my daughter. We like the small community aspect of the school and the district . I liked that by the time she had completed her elementary school years at Plainfield, I personally knew about 75% of her class just from our involvement in youth athletics and other activities in the area. The teachers have been very helpful with her and very accommodating of our needs whenever anything special needed to be addressed.

Horrible school and district. On the 4th year of waiting for the legally appropriate supports to be put in place. Violation of FAPE, LRE, IDEA 504 Section II Of the ADA. Child placed 12 times now, unacceptable. They have no clue what Autism is nor do they want to learn how to accommodate it. Disgusting behavior, very unprofessional staff. This district could care less about your children.

If your child has any problems learning, don't put them here. My older daughter went through Pen Argyl schools with no problem. Unfortunately my 9 year old has learning problems, especially with Math. I was told that she is "below average, but not enough to get help". She was barely over an F in Math, but she didn't need help...?! An assessment from an Audiologist done in 2012 showed Auditory Processing Disorder. It took the school almost 2 years to do their own assessment, (really???), and implement the 504 Plan they awarded her in Jan 2014. It was April of 2014 before they gave her an earpiece, which was supposed to help, but didn't. So now we have her in a private school. I was told by her new school that the Math deficit between her and the other kids is quite significant. She is taken out of class 3 x/per week for remedial help. So now we pay taxes AND private school fees because this Public Elementary School failed her. The 2nd week of Sept. we rec'd a packet telling us that she qualified for after school help, (2 hrs), for the low PSSA scores from last yr., AT Plainfield Elemntary. She doesn't even go there anymore! Talk about covering your a**. Unbelievable.

Excellent teachers, staff, and environment!!! Would not even consider sending my child to any other elementary school!!!

Plainfield is a school that goes beyond any expectations u think of when you think of school. We moved to this area because of the great things I've heard about. And not for one minute did I regret it. Our third child is now there and loves it as did our daughters. The staff is always helpful and extremely nice. And they are led by a platinum standard principal, who is genuine and always involved, Mr. G. And most important they achieve resaults. Wow how amazing a place where your kids love to go and they are educated ,who would have thought that was possiable.

I did not like Plainfield Elementary and my daughter did not like it either. They did not communicate with me about educational issues nor did they let me know when there was lice. My daughter is much happier now that she is not in that school district anymore.
