Benton Hall has been a wonderful place for our student to fulfill his educational goals. We were at a loss as to the best place for him. God directed to Benton Hall. Like any school there are aches and pains throughout the year but we have the utmost respect for the staff and teachers. He has been challenged both socially and academically. He looks forward to the front door opening each morning. Benton Hall is a blessing disguise.

The staff at this school is flexible, creative, and works with a variety of unique students. They meet students where they are, and they support them to get them to the next steps of their lives.

Over the course of two years, we watched in horror as the atmosphere in the lower school shifted from a collaborative environment to a punitive one under the derelict leadership of the dean of academics. It is my belief that this person should not be in the education profession. We had to make extraordinary moves to extricate our daughter from the situation she encountered at Benton Hall, and the Dean of Academics attempted to be punitive as she was in the process of leaving the school. Our daughter is now at a new school where she is thriving in every facet of her education. Better schools with far lower tuition are available for your child who needs an IEP. Doing the most basic research on Benton Hall, you’ll find the situation described here is not isolated, but systemic.

Our child started in the 2023 school year. He is thriving here, he has been placed in classes that challenge him, excite him, and has been great support from all his teachers. Everyone we interact with is personable and cares about the students. They deliver on their mission and have helped our son love school, love to learn, and feel accepted and supported. Can't say enough positive things about this school.

The lower school is detached from the mission this establishment professes, and ends up being a waste of a child’s time and your money. There is at least one administrator who should not be in the profession of teaching. That person is malicious, petulant, and incoherent with their communication. The full facts of how bad they are at their job are appalling— to the point they merit a report to the school’s accrediting body and the administration’s state licensure for investigation. While the upper school has many good teachers, the board and head master cannot be excused for allowing this person to continue to be around children.

The administration at Benton Hall is atrocious! It has been my experience that they allow educators to be employed with an obvious distaste for children. In fact, they should not ever be allowed to be around children. And don't be fooled when they say they cater to each child's learning needs, because they do not. My child was not only reprimanded multiple times for asking questions related to learning but would be consistently scolded for no reason. In no way, shape, or form did Benton Hall have the best interest of my child in mind. There are certain individuals within the administration who have been witnessed taking out their own mental issues, including anger, on the children and should be fired immediately. My child was verbally and harshly attacked by the faculty member on a daily basis and was afraid to go to school every day. It broke my heart as a parent to watch my child hate school and be scared to go for fear of being inappropriately reprimanded. Even though the problems were brought to the attention of the Headmaster and many meetings took place that promised changes would be made, nothing was done. The faculty member continued to harass not only my child, but several children forcing me to have no other choice but find a better school that would actually foster the education of my child and renew the love of learning. This school should be ashamed of itself and desperately needs to take inventory of its faculty and staff. If you love your child, do not send them here.

It was absolutely horrible. My child lost all their self esteem and worth. It took a long time and a great school to build it back up. My child now learns, is in task, has friends but still recalls what the vice principal did on that field trip. Disgusting!Be wary of these reviews. Very wary. I am willing to bet they are staff because they keep their doors open month to month.Ask to see their financials, it is your right!

Benton Hall is a great school. The teachers know how to inspire each student to do their best. The teachers and administration really care about each individual child. For our family it was so important that our son be able to play team sports. He loves playing basketball and feels he is truly accepted by his peers. In high school, it can be hard for kids to feel they belong and are loved and accepted for who they are. At Benton Hall, our son has found his place.

This school has been a lifesaver for my son who has ADHD. He was failing in traditional public school and now he is thriving. We've been at the school for 6 years and my son is confident and successful. The focus on social skills has helped my son develop friendships with kids his own age and he loves playing on the basketball team.

It is a wonderful school with truly caring faculty, staff and administration. They meet your child where he/she is and help them move forward in a caring and nurturing but disciplined environment.

I went to this school. Before them, I'd never had any attention paid to me as a student. The teachers are amazing. If your child is having trouble at school, please consider Benton Hall. I went from a straight D student to a straight A student within a month. I made the best friends I've ever had there. You have no idea how wonderful it feels to fit in and get the attention you need to excel in school. My confidence was boosted and I was able to do things I've never dreamed of. Every school should take a lesson from Benton Hall.

There are two many reasons to count, why I don't recommend this school. But needless to say, I don't.

This school is disorganized and substandard while being expensive. The teachers in middle school refuse to meet with parents AT ANY TIME. We spent 5 years with this school and only one time did we get a conference when requested. Their headmaster was wonderful, but evidently the teachers did not share his philosophy. SEND YOUR CHILD HERE IF YOU WILL BUT KEEP YOUR EYE ON EVERYTHING!
