I love this school and so do my kids! They do a great job with the guidelines they are given and they change every year.

I have not been very impressed with this school, poor teacher involvement as well as attitude. I moved from the Pleasant Street school district and currently looking hard to find a way to get my youngest into Pleasant Street. My daughter will not be going back to Dan Emmett next year even if I have to home school. Some staff members at Dan Emmett are great, the poor communication with the teachers out weights the good. They don't do as much as they should with the bullies, and that is the reason why I had pulled my oldest son who is now graduating from Mount Vernon High, from Dan Emmett when he was younger. My advice is if your child is in a school currently and doing well there do not transfer them to Dan Emmett.

This school is very good to their students. There isn't a lot of "extra" activities offered but my son really enjoys the atmosphere and the positive reinforcement. The only complaint I have is that the newer teachers seem to be a little more strict and less flexible.
