It’s been a very negative experience from the office staff and principle telling my child they don’t care what he has to say to the social worker trying to talk us out of an IEP for 30 minutes saying it’s a disservice and how my child wouldn’t graduate like the average student. To my young nest somehow getting out of the school 3 times to them threatening to call the police because we refused for them to call a crisis unit due to their lack of supervision. They constantly get suspended or sent home when they don’t want to deal with them. The principle kept encouraging me to pull my son because he wasn’t ready for school and how it wasn’t legally required until he was 6. It truly has been a very negative and traumatic experience for my whole family. Both of my children have medically diagnosed issues & they did not care or take those into account.

This school has been amazing. My son has been attending this school for the last three year (Pre-K) and is now going into Kindergarten. We would not want to be anywhere else. Everyone you meet is so supportive and truly want to see your child succeed. I could not ask for a better place for my son to learn and grow. They have been very accommodating with his IEP and make sure to fully follow it. All the teachers are amazing, all the support staff are amazing and the principal is absolutely incredible.

My son has just started kindergarten at Clinton Valley. Being so new I obviously can't speak to every aspect of this school. However my experience so far has be excellent. As soon as I met the school secretary, principal and the kindergarten teachers I felt at ease. The camaraderie that they share is very special and unique you can tell that they are like a family and work well together. So far my son has absolutely loved his teacher and school in general. He always has a smile on his face before and after school. He also enjoys the specials classes and those teachers. We are only a month in and he has learned so much. I am also very impressed with how organized the kindergarten teachers are and especially with how their daily binder is set up. Having some experience with a niece and nephew's school I realize that this organization is amazing and so very helpful. Communication with this school as a whole as well as from the teachers is excellent!

I am very happy with this school. My son has been attending for 4 years now. He started in early childhood special education. The end of last year in first grade he graduated Pt, ot, and speech. He has exceled so much since attending clinton valley. The staff has been amazing and so helpful including the principal mr. Finn who I’ve seen on many occasions go out of his way to help families at the school in any way he can. He really cares about the students and you can tell He ALWAYS has the best interest of the children at hand. It’s nice to see him interact with the students at events by dressing up as the tooth fairy, a big bear, and a grandma (just to name a few). The kids absolutely love Him. I love their iread and title 1 programs they have. It really helps the students who are struggling to catch up to the rest of their class. I truly feel my son is getting a great education at clinton valley!

Very disorganized, communication is terrible. My son does not enjoy his time at school. My eldest attended a different elementary school in the same district and I plan on switching my son to that school after this year is over. I’ve had so many issues that it’s honestly not worth the short distance from home. I would gladly drive the extra miles for myself and my child to have a better experience.

Our daughters have been going to Clinton Valley Elementary for Four years (3rd grader) and two years (1st grader) now. The staff is really great and everyone seems to know each student by name. Very personal staffAnd the kids come home very positive evey day. I would recommend this school to everyone.

My school is clinton valley elementary and honestly I feel my daughter was held back. the teacher ran out of things for her to do by February of this year and asked the first grade teacher for help keeping her busy. the principal did not deal with the several bullies we encountered and when I requested a meeting with him I was ignored. The teacher was very positive about my child and her learning but I was very disappointed when I was not given a heads up that she was moving on to first grade work. I am trying to transfer to another school in the district or to another district but have still had no word as of yet.

Both of my daughters have attended Clinton Valley the only reason we returned this year is because the teachers are great. They are so caring, helpful and most of them go above and beyond. The only downfall is the principal. He is rude, unprofessional and at times inappropriate. I know many parents have left the school because of him and I can see why.
