Prevail has made the IEP process amazing and has made my son feel at home. From in house speech and OT with great teachers, and a comfy corner to read they have really given him an incredible experience to make him feel included in everyday school life!

This school use to be great about a year and a half ago, has went down alot not evenly divided in race. My Child was removed cause of the acceptable bullying, when enrolled in a new school reading at a 1st grade level instead of 3rd grade level. When I use to speak with his teachers about reading they would say oh he's fine it will come.

I am a parent who is expressing my concern about prevail academy. We have always loved prevail and thought it was the best school around, till the past 1.5 yearS. There has been so much bullying, hitting, names calling and more. My son was hit in the face by a student at prevail aND basically got a slap on the hand. Physical contact 1 day suspension but I go and pick my son up from school that day and where is the boy who did this?! Sitting on the bench outside the school doors. Not only was that very unsafe but they didn't even care. When I walked the hall to get my son there was a girl who said a boy hit her in the hip area and I seen a quater size bruise on her hip. I see it all to much. This isn't the first time with this happening either. Not only is this going on in 6th grade but other grades also. Parent we need to speak up if our kids are be bullied and so forth!!!! A student shouldn't feel unsafe at school when that is there job to make sure you are safe. When a child says they don't know what's gonna happen day to day at school is sad. I didn't even get a call from the principle when this happened it was the dean.

My son had went to Reach Academy for four years. We moved to Mt. Clemens and I decided to put him in Prevail. He absolutely loves this school and so do I. We have since the beginning of the school year moved back to Roseville but I still make the drive to Prevail everyday. The teachers are excellent and the staff is wonderful.

My daughter who is in first grade loves this school. The staff is very nice and understanding. They offer many extracurricular activities, as well as extra help of your child needs it such as speech. This school has opened my daughters eyes to other cultures and she is always learning new things. The only downfall is the drop off and pick up. Wish the school had a large enough parking lot or even a few buses. Many of the parents must arrive an hour early just to get into the pick up lane. Hard when you have a job or other kids. But, overall, its a great school and maybe they will expand to a larger location one day!!!!

This is a great school that cares about your children! Teachers will do everything they can to help each child grow and succeed. Parents are encouraged to help in any way they can, and are even welcomed into the classrooms. I would not think of sending my child to any other school. My son loves this school, teachers and his classmates!

My children have been attending this school for five years, and I wouldn't want them to go anywhere else. Everyone on staff has gone above and beyond when my children have needed something, and they truly care about the children who attend the school.

Prevail Acadmey, I wouldn't know where to start. This school has a horrible staff. The princeable chose a favorites and doesn't care about the students at all. My daughter was getting pushed into bathroom stalls and she told the teacher, teacher said to be more careful. My other daughter and her friends started cutting. Teachers did nothing about this. Horrible academics. The teachers wouldn't be in tack with what book, subject or such they're in.

My school has an excellent staff that communicates well, has our kids best interest at heart and wants to see them succeed at getting into college. They are raised and taught daily in an environment that teaches that the expectation is to go to college somewhere in support of their dreams and goals. I loved that the field trip for the 8th graders is to visit 5 or 6 local colleges and really show them the tangible options that are open to them. Thank you Prevail for your vision for the success of our college-bound scholars!

I love the moral focus & the individual attention they give customize to each student. My then 1st grader's reading level was above those in her class, yet her teacher customized a reading plan for her & managed to keep her challenged.

Very disappointed in the direction this school has gone. Teachers are dealing with far too many discipline problems in the classroom, therefore, they are not able to teach to the kids that want to learn. The kids that do have so many behavior issues are allowed special privileges like spending time in the office doing puzzles and playing games. What happened to making kids responsible for their actions?

The school was good till they changed the grading system and they told the kids that their homework did not count and now I have a kid in highs school and is having a hard time and is not passing. Very hard transition from Prevail to public school. Moral focus was very good.

Prevail offers something unique in Mount Clemens. It is the only school servicing grades K-8 in one building. We share a common language with a moral focus. We celebrate that we have experienced teachers whi are dedicated to academic achievement for all students. Our leadership is strong and we welcome anyone to visit at anytime for a tour.

I do not understand the previous comments. The principal is concerned with the school in every way. Her dedication is apparent and is always willing to communicate with me through several different avenues. My daughter is entering her third year at Prevail and her academic progress is great! She is happy in school and eager to grow in her studies. Stop complaining about silly stuff and grow up...you are the parent. If you went to the school you would see the learning environment is solid.

I am displeased with this school due to the unfair treatment of students who's parents work vs. parents who can volunteer because they don't work. The principal of this school is closed minded. She'll meet with you, but does not value your opinion, nor your suggestions. It's her way or the highway. This school has a silent lunch policy, which is beyond extreme.
