One big problem at the is kids are told if they get into a fight to try to run away which is most of time impossible or to sit there and take it. If your kid defends themselves expect them to get suspended. But that's about it everything is fine

I was told several times in various ways that parents aren't involved here. The negative impact is clear.

It's pretty sad that there are only 6 reviews for Algonquin. My son is in 8th grade. He also has life threatening food allergies. From day one, they have done every thing to make us comfortable. His counselor, Mrs. McDougall, is outstanding. She is amazing. She helps in anyway possible. In the three years we've had great teachers and a few that just haven't worked for us but we maintained communication and made it successful. The office staff, especially, Mrs. Blanzy, are awesome! Way to go Algonquin!!!

This is my daughters first year at this school and she is loving every moment. This is the first year that she has really enjoyed school and has been enjoying learning from the teachers at Algonquin. My only problem is one teacher expressing her political views very strongly on a daily basis, but i just let my daughter know the importance of knowing political views but also know not to be persuaded any one way.
