I love the communication between the school and parents. I love the education that my daughter is receiving. We moved from the city to Newburgh town and she is doing great in school.

As a parent with 2 children who went through the school, both were well prepared for high school and had been guided towards 'right' choices by staff members. Students learn behaviors have consequences. The staff showed high professional knowledge and commitment to the student's success. My children were challenged, but learned to reach their highest academic potential while also being active in the VCMS clubs and sports programs. I was very well satisfied with this school and feel gratitude towards the teachers there.

I have had two sons attend VCMS and I couldn't be more appreciative of all that this school has to offer. The academics are highly rigorous and the enrichment and athletic opportunities are plentiful. My sons had the privilege of having teachers that gave 120%, providing engaging and lively daily lessons, while also organizing team field trips and promoting interdisciplinary projects. The music department provides spectacular instruction for both band and chorus and the art instruction is equally as vibrant. VCMS is an exemplary school.

I am so disgusted with this school. I moved here from NJ late in the school year and my child's teacher was just pushing him along and treating him like dirt. She has a bad attitude and it showed in my parent teacher conference. Why let a person with such a horrible demeanor towards children work at your school is beyond me. Before coming to this school my child was a honor student coming from a 5 star school district who loved school. We moved here and we don't receive a welcome packet from the teacher listing how and when assignments should be completed. I didn't even know the teachers name until I called her the wrong name and asked for details on how her classroom works. What a great way to make a new student and their family feel welcomed.

We are very disgusted w/ the school and the entire admin. We have had to complain numerous times about bullying and NOTHING was done. My daughter was/is dealing w/ a 7th grade Science teacher Mrs "R" who is horrible. She is is rude and treats my daughter with disrespect. My daughter is an A student who loved school until coming to VCMS. The office staff dreads having to call down to this teachers class room if I have to pick up my daughter. She has actually hung up on the office staff. Nothing is done about it??? We are moving back down south, and we can't wait to get them out of here. Terrible district. Choose any other school district. BTW: I was born and raised here.

They do a great job of tranistioning the sixth graders to the middle school, support the students in teams, and have a great overall atmosphere for the students.
