Only had one teacher that I thought was too strict or out of touch with middle school age students. Both of my kids had a good experience.

Horrible, facility is dirty and disgusting. The gym water is yellow, people are always getting into fights, lunch is over priced for a wet chicken patty. Its unsafe parents don't send your kid here please. My mental health went down so much by going here is terrible for your kid.

As someone that has attended this school for four years straight, I can honestly say that it is not the greatest school, but not the worst either. The school is very keen on teaching children against anti-bullying, their practices working very well. Most of the teachers teach the students pretty well, but there are a select few that are unprofessional. The only big downfalls about the school would be the overall behavior of the students as well as the vents. The ventilation in the school is absolutely disgusting. If you were to look in some of the vents, you would see almost black mold and other nasty stuff. This is really bad as it can be a serious health hazard.

My daughter attended the middle school and just graduated in June. We were very pleased with her overall experience with her academics and the teachers and staff. As parents we were involved with her academics, which is key as a parent. The teachers and staff were very helpful in whatever we needed over the years.

When my daughter started WMS. 1/4 way into the school year. The teacher made her comfortable and had her fit in and the students took her in with arms wide open. She has made the honor role every marking period since than 3 years ago. She get's herself into everything she can. and is very into sports. clubs, art, All of her teachers she has had has been wonderful. The security to get in the building is amazing.

This school is second to none. Don't let the old reviews fool you, things have changed over the past 5 years and we have put 3 children through WMS, and I'm proud to say they are all honor students :)

I have recently graduated from the middle school and let me tell you, things are different now. Unlike the old reviews said, there is significantly less bullying ever since the "Braves periods" they hold. (This is basically a period in which the students are doing activities that teach how to reduce bullying.) I'll be honest: the Braves Periods are getting more and more of a bore, but they seem to work. Also, the math teacher I had this year (who will not be named) hardly taught us the material at all and expected us to do great on the quizzes. My fellow classmates complained during the school year as well. The subsitute actually taught us more than our actual teacher! My other classes, however, were a breeze and the teachers were great. Overall, the school is pretty nice and MOST of the teachers are good at their job; it all depends on your schedule.

Many people often have complaints about this school, I am here to diminish their bad reviews. The times have changed--- negative reviews posted before 2010 are no longer accurate. Yes, bullying does goes on within the school and yes, the teachers can get on your nerves but these are kinds of problems you'll deal with at one time or another in your life. Honestly, I must say this is one of the most excellent schools I've ever gone to! I've met many friends, and I've also had my fair share of issues with other students, but the school offers a fun, educational environment. Many students are very cliquey, though this does not apply to everyone. As said previously, the school offers fun opportunities for students. Trips are offered for students involved in extracurricular activities (which there are many of) and rewards. The Jostens Renaissance program also helps reward good behavior and academics. Teachers occasionally get out of hand, but contact the school repeatedly and you will surely make an impact--- I know from experience. Also, if you are looking for your child to be academically challenged, this school can do that! Advanced classes are offered for nearly every subject!

The school offers a lot to the students. The teachers are good, and the administration is concerned. For a building this large, the staff does know the kids individually. I have had good experiences with this school.

WMS has its good points as well as some concerns. This is just like every other public middle school. Powerschool is available to every student and parent to keep up with grades. They just put back sports programs that were gone for over 5 years. If you go in person to speak to an administrator or a teacher you need to make an appointment. This is just like if you want to speak to your doctor. The guidance office leaves much to be desired and like someone else stated discipline is not consistant. Overall if you are an active parent in your childs eduation your child will do well not matter where they go to school.

This school was the worse 4 years of my entire life. Especialy elementary school (oak knoll). I can not express my hatred for everyone here. I was not a bad kid yet I get yelled at my teachers and they treated me like they were my parent. THEY RUINED MY CHILDHOOD. This school flaunts A LOT. We don't need 2-3 of everything. One is enough. Please don't let the looks of this school from the outside fool you. The staff are rude and only helping other staff. There are constantly fights amung the students. Teachers threaten students. Williamstown Middle School is the worse place in the world to send your child. People judge you as soon as you walk into the door. They don't care what you have been through they just care about your appearance. Boys fight and curse constantly. You can't walk down the hallway without seeing a "situation' going on. The teachers only care about getting on the parents good side.. Not the child. I'm not exaggerating one bit. I hate this place. I am never coming back. They ruined 6 years (2 years in their elementary school 4 in the middle school) of my life. The only thing this experience taught me was to grow up. Cause no one is around there. They corrupt minds.
