Absolutley horrid. While the teachers are nice and very knowledgeable in their feild administration is completly failing at running what could be an amazing school.

The quality of teachers in the honors and ap classes is tremendous. Interesting history teachers who have been in the Gulf war they teach about. An anatomy class with actual labs. Psychology classes, classes on death and dying and criminology. The teachers engage the children to look at different perspectives. It makes me want to go back to school!Not enough preparation for college applications early enough...should start in Sophmore year.

The high school administration does very little to stop the bullying of students. We had to pull our 11th grade student from this school district because the problem was so bad. The so called "anti bullying" seems to works best in the elementary school level. Beware if your child is going into the high school.

My child is finishing his first year at this school. He is in all Honors classes. His course work is challenging and he is engaged. I constantly ask him if he likes the school. He enthusiastically responds with a YES! We did not come from the Middle School. I found all of his teachers to be responsive if I had a question. He was involved involved in several clubs and a spring sport and was welcomed by the students. I found to be a great school, that provides a safe environment and a quality education for those that seek it.

WHS is a wonderful school that prepares students for their future (inside of the classroom as well as outside). While there have been many complaints about the staff in these reviews, in my opinion, the staff is great.The need to discipline is a necessity in order to stop distractions from occurring, which may hold an entire classroom behind. Detentions are forms of punishment that have been going on for years all over the country. Yes, a student may miss material if they are acting out, but were they really learning anyway? It is part of their punishment to make this material up. Why should other students be punished for good behavior by keeping these kids in the classroom? 4 min. is more than enough time to get from class to class. In the real world, there are consequences for acting out and being late. The ethnicity complaint is also a joke. WHS has such a diverse student body as well as staff and people are treated with the same respect. Again, it's all about the student's behavior. If you do what you're suppose to be doing, you will be fine. Parents need to stop taking their child's excuses and really need to experience WHS themselves from a student's perspective.

Its interesting reading these comments from the parents because you guys are not in the school 180 days a school year so you would never know what was going on. Also the fact that every student has a complaint is also interesting because it shows there are immediate problems that need to be fixed. For example i know for a fact majority of these kids that go here have gone to counseling because of problems in school, many have gone to summer school, and most have had credit completion. Now if i was a parent and that was the majority i wouldn't question others home life but the school and the quality.I honestly feel for the kids that are still going to be there for the next few years. I am graduating this year and thank god to my active mom, friends, and family for being there for me because from the day i got there it was a constant battle between student and staff which is sad.I am thankful to have teachers this year that are attentive, respectful, well rounded, and liked and known by many with a great reputation but sadly they are the bare minimum at this school. I wouldn't recommend this school unless your a fighter who wont fall for anything and will stand up to what is right.

Although I have only been at this school for a few months, I have seen many great things so far. Students have access to laptops, smart boards and many other types of technology that other schools don't have. There are many dedicated teachers who don't just care about their paycheck (let's face it, we didn't choose to be teachers for the money)! The student population is very diverse and there are so many ways one can customize their high school experience. Is there drama? Yes. Is there bullying? Of course. As teachers and school professionals, I guarantee no one wants to see any child go through some of these things. We are here to help, to listen and to become better teachers. I've been in other schools that didn't have the technology, activities and stellar level of performance. Williamstown is among the best of South Jersey. Although I'm sure the teachers and administration aren't perfect, Williamstown is constantly trying to make things better. To me, that is the biggest indicator of what a quality school really is.

The reviews for our High School are varied. However, we have had only wonderful experiences with our children both academically and athletically at WHS. Good students excel in any environment with strong parental, family, and community support. Contract and budget issues are a reality in ALL school districts, and yes, bullying is still a problem that must be addressed with vigilance on a daily basis, but children are smart and strong. If our kids take accountability for their education and have support they will succeed in spite of any issues that exist. GO Braves!

This school is horrible. I am a student a WHS and I have been put through too much. It is my first year here and I have been already bullied to the point of no return. Teachers cannot stop bullying and have not yet put an effort. They say it is frowned upon but do nothing. Though some teachers do teach correctly most are very poor and lacking in teaching skills and don't get me started on other administration. They are not helpful at all and at most times they are extremely rude. If you send any of your children here I advise you to pull out fast because they will think what happens here is what is normal in a school. But it isn't. Many of my fellow students are fowl mouthed and cannot behave while the teachers are too scared to act upon it. There are too many students here which means that your child probably wont even get the help he/she will need, since the teachers are juggling 20-30 rowdy teenagers in a class. I do not recommend Williamstown High School to any parent.

As a concerned parent of a senior at WHS I can tell you that all students are not treated the same at this school. The ethnicity of the student plays a huge role in the outcome of the problem situation;whether its academic or discplinary in nature. So thank you! Mrs.English teacher ,Mr.Dept head, Mr Principal and Mr.Administration for continuing the traditon of holding our students back.

Aweful school! If I could get my kids out of there I would in a second! The kids get harshly disiplined for the dumbest things. Cant wait until my kids graduate and are out of there for good.

Think twice before sending your child to this school. Administration has a terrible attitude. Beware, your A student could become a C student in a semester. The good teachers are really good and the bad ones are really bad! beware
