This school was a Godsend. I had two boys both go through here. One that struggled and one that didn’t. Johnson met the needs of both. The Principal Mr Gignac is a special person in the right job. 10/10 would recommend.

I can’t say enough great things about Johnson Elementary School. The principal, Mr. Gignac is great and the staff is also. They really focus on not only learning but also being kind to others and helping others. They really care about each and every one of the students. I love this school and couldn’t ask for a better one :)

As a parent of a Kindergarten student, it has been great!

We love Johnson and feel very lucky that we are able to make it our home school. My son is in kindergarten and his teacher is absolutely wonderful. He has learned so much and to this day, still loves going to school. The new principal has done great things for the school since taking over, and you can tell that he genuinely cares about the teachers and the students. Go Jaguars!

We just had parent-teacher conferences for both our children (K & 3rd grade) last week and I can say I feel fortunate they both have such caring, structured teachers. My son's kindergarten teacher is amazing! He is still adjusting to all day/everyday school and she has been wonderful helping him "calibrate" emotionally by teaching him how to problem solve on his own. Academically, he is a reluctant writer, and she has been very encouraging and positive, getting him there step by step. My 3rd grader's teacher is great as well - he is being challenged across all subject areas and is thriving in her disciplined classroom. I only wish the class wasn't quite as big - 31 students. Johnson has a new principal this year - Josh Gignac - and he has been a very energetic, positive presence in the school. Our family is very happy at Johnson!

I love this school! The teachers truly care about the kids and go above and beyond. My kids are academically challenged and enjoy attending school. My oldest is heading to middle school and I feel that he is ready to go! We just became a Leader In Me school and I am excited to see how this changes our school and the students.

Johnson elementary is a school with a lot of Parent support and involvement. If the teachers would just learn that the T in PTA stands for teachers it would be even better. Overall we have had a good experience at the school and with the teachers, but there are definitely a few I wouldn't want my child to have. The staff is very friendly but I do not feel that they put in any time that is not directly required. This is a good school that is improving but still has a way to go!

Johnson Elementary is a family friendly building and one that focuses on academics and student leadership. Each teacher has had strengths and differences from one another. The principal is approachable and cares about feedback. The parents seem to be very involved.

My daughter has attended this school for the past 4 years (grades 1-4). Couldn't be happier with the teachers, principal and fellow students. Over the past four years - have seen multiple building renovations, new programs and equipment, many new recent grads as teachers who are very passionate about making a difference. This year, Johnson became a "Leader in Me" school, broadening the curriculum to include creative thinking and leadership skills. This school is really improving year-to-year and doing the best they can with the constrained funding available for education these days... I highly recommend this school as the teachers, staff and new principal are caring, innovative and hard-working.

Withdrew my child from this school after 4 years so you know it has to be bad. Terri Thompson runs it like a dictatorship to the PTA. Teachers have been there so long they don't care anymore. My kid got to watch 33 movies last semester. When I asked the principle about it she said not a cause for concern. MEAP test scores reflect this. Not a school for an academical education. Choose any other school but this one.
