Kurtz creates a safe, caring, and rich learning environment for your student to thrive. The entire Kurtz staff- from the office team, teachers, support staff, to the principal are kind, caring, and invested in your child's learning. My daughter moved to this school the beginning of 5th grade and the "long-time" students were kind and inclusive towards her. There is a lot of parent involvement and many opportunities to "plug-in" to support the school. Overall, I can't say enough positive things about Kurtz!

We absolutely adore this school and all the faculty. We look forward to meeting our kids new teachers every year, and every year we are impressed. We end up developing very close relationships with each school years teaches. I think this is all capable by the absolute great leadership from Principle Chisik. You will love him. Thanks Kurtz!

I want to send the teachers and staff of Kurtz a letter of Congratulations and thanks. The Covid crisis was an unprecedented challenge for everyone, but the Kurtz elementary faculty truly and without a doubt showed great fortitude and met the challenge gracefully in our opinion. Not only did Kurtz organize quickly, creating from scratch a website and several practical learning aids, but you managed to help our children to still receive a great education. We know it was not easy. It was incredible seeing the amount of videos created, meetings and, well, just constant presence our boys had access to. Having a Kindergartner and a 3rd grader to teach at home wasn’t an easy task, but it pales in comparison to the effort put forth by our school. Speaking of kindergarten, we would especially like to tell you how truly impressed we were with the combined efforts of Mrs Latimer, Mrs. Hess, and Mrs Dinnan. They put themselves out there every single day in videos and video lessons, and helped parents in any way they could. They helped the kids in a very formative and important time in their education, and they managed to take parents who are far less qualified and experienced, and give them the tools to keep the kids learning. Mrs. Latimer didn’t even let Lego League fall behind! Angie and I found ourselves wondering where she and the other teachers found the energy most days. The kindergarten teachers response to this sudden and serious education crisis should serve as a model of adaptability in children’s education. Just as importantly, Kurtz made the students not feel so distant from their friends and teachers. The many, many videos of Mr. Chisik reading books to the children helped a lot in that regard. For having no plan in place for a crisis like this, you have done a very impressive job leading and adapting to a very difficult situation; and there is no doubt in our minds that it takes a special kind of person to be a great educator. We now know from experience, and we couldn’t have provided our sons that education without the teachers help. Without the bond that Lucas had formed with Mrs. Latimer before the shutdown, it would have been even more difficult to keep him interested in learning at home. We have always been aware that Kurtz is a great school, but it stood out as truly Elite this year.Eric & Angella Smith

This school has impressed me since the second my oldest girl stepped foot in the buildings. We wouldn't dream of our girls going to ANY other school; in fact recent house hunting is limited to homes assigned to Kurtz! Our children receive not only academic education and leadership; but moral as well. Teaching them how to handle conflicts, and that their voices are important and heard. I am so grateful for all they do, and continue to do to support my family. We are not special. I know they take the same care and consideration to ALL of their families. Absolutely amazing should. Would recommend again and again!

Our children have thrived at Kurtz Elementary. Each year we are impressed with the innovation, leadership and community connection Kurtz continues to build. We tell our friends, neighbors and parents about Kurtz and encourage them to check it out for themselves.

I would highly recommend Kurtz Elementary to any parent. This is not our home school. We choose to go to Kurtz because of the teachers and the principal. Our children have received a high quality education, with individual attention. They keep advancing their learning with technology, academics and the arts/ music. It truly has been such a positive elementary educational experience!

Exceptional. The staff is stupendous. I really can't say enough about our experience at this school. I wish they had moved our program to Kurtz years ago.

My kids love Kurtz elementary staff! The school has a welcoming environment. Children are challenged and supported according to their academic level during WIN (What I need) time, and are encouraged to act as leaders at all times. There are groups and activities for children (and parents) to be involved in, both during school and after hours. It's a great community school!

So happy we chose Kurtz, for its community environment, from the admin staff to teachers, principal, lunch ladies, field trips, projects, crafts, and the perfect amount of homework. Looking forward to many more years with our first kid and then the second!

We have been with Kurtz for a long time and we have to say these past few years (with the Principle change) Kurtz has become an awesome school . The staff are engaged and work together as a team to help the kids be the best they can be. The 4th and 5th grade teams at Kurtz are amazing. Thank-you Mr. Chisik .
