My child has attended this school in the Dual Language Vietnamese program since Kindergarten and is currently in 6th grade there. We were attracted to her learning the Vietnamese language and accepted that the school facilities themselves are old and not up to date. The positives are that my child can read/write and speak Vietnamese and we've had mostly positive experiences with teachers and other students. Through the years we've been annoyed at the lack of facilities such as the kids having to sit out in the sun during assemblies due to the lack of a decently sized multi purpose room. The school has attracted a lot of students due to the Dual Language program so we had hoped that things would be improved in time. But six years later, as our daughter begins the 6th grade, we've learned that her classroom does not have air conditioning and it is hotter in there than it is outside. Further the school just says there's nothing that will be done until next year. The dual language program has done an admirable job considering the lack of Vietnamese learning resources available to it but again anyone considering the program should be aware of this limitation as well. Do we regret sending our child here? Yes and no. Would we recommend the others to absolutely do this program? Yes and no, with the prior caveats.

I have been in this school since preschool to 5th grade. This school caused me severe social anxiety, my teachers never cared if I was stressed or was crying because of the students who were bullying me. In a parent teacher conference, there was a Vietnamese translator who insulted my mom calling her an awful mom and that she doesn't deserve me. The staff there honestly are like devils who only care about themselves.

Just plain awful and you might as well take your child to another elementary school in the Westminster School District.

Poor school, poor education, poor staff, DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS here for their safety.

I would not recommend this school to even if it was the last school around. The current principle has done nothing to improve this school and has zero follow through. Most of the teachers at the school have no idea how to communicate with the parents.I can go on on, but lets just leave at the fact the I have transferred my children out of this school and would not return even if they paid me.

DeMille has very dedicated teachers and staff. Overall I've been very happy and impressed with everything.
