There's something quite wrong with the reviews on here and the state test scores. I don't care how many bogus reviews are posted on here by someone this school is a VERY low performing school coming in at a 2 and that is scary. This school is failing it's students in all areas academically and emotionally. The people at Sun View need a serious wake up call because if you think that a school rating of 2 is great you are living in a cave somewhere and desperately need a reality check!

I am not a staff member, but a parent of a Gifted student in this district, and a kindergartner who had the most wonderful TK and kindergarten experience! Mrs. Friedmann is the best TK teacher you can hope for! We live in a different school zone, so when my little one was placed here for TK I was hesitant, based on the ratings, but thankfully I was proven wrong. Great teachers, well kept grounds, secure area for TK and Kindergarten, and the benefit of a small class size, priceless! When my daughter was about to enter Kindergarten we actually kept her here although she could go back to our home school which has much higher ratings. She had Mrs. Serven in Kindergarten and was already reading just after the first trimester, and so was half of the class. Mrs. Tilton is a great teacher too, and I hear nothing but good things about the other teachers as well. My daughter is very happy here and excelling both academically and socially! Oh, and I agree with one of the reviews below, Elaine Burney is an excellent principle!

I think most of these reviews are done by staff. There are a few good teachers there. But the rating is low for a reason! You can't blame the area or student. It's low because of the staff! It's a smaller school, the parent community is nice, I will say that.

This school has wonderful teachers. Ms. Serven, Mrs. Tilton, and Mrs. Norton are absolutely amazing, I love those ladies! Oh and you cannot find a better principal!

This school is smaller which makes it easy get to know the teachers and staff. Everyone is friendly and wants to help. The teachers are very good with the students. My student has done excellent and is learning a lot since starting at Sun View. I love this school!

GREAT SCHOOL!!, Because it is a smaller school it feels more intimate and personal. We were at a larger enrolled school before and felt no since of belonging. My experience at Sunview has been very positive with the Teachers, Principal and the PTO, they are so warm and friendly. I can't imagine wanting to be anywhere else. My son has learned so much and enjoys going to school again.

LOVE this little school!!!! The teachers are amazing, and my son has made great friends. Like the principal says we are small but mighty. I wouldn't want my son to go to any other school.

Excellent all the way around! Teachers (We LOVE Mrs. F!) are amazing! Principal and all staff will go above and beyond to meet the needs of their students!

This school is the worst! I wish I could tell you the true story of the experiences my family had at this school. The speech teacher had a bad temper and I wondered if she was like that with the kids she taught in her class. Mrs. Wong, the substitute, is very rude with the children and has no patience. I was there in the classroom and actually had a talk about her with the Principle. The Principle informed me that she has had other complaints about both listed above. The moment you step into the office the receptionist Linda, does not smile and is very rude. Again, I spoke with the Principle and some how she is still there. The PTO does not know what they are doing and the other comments about them are very true. I am happy to say that my child will be attending another school and I will no longer have to deal with this school! The only teacher that I respected was Mrs. Tilton and I thank her for all of her hard work. The kids that attend her class are very lucky and I think she might be the only saving grace to this broken down school.

dont like the pto at sun view.. adrie is sooooooooooooo fake.. lets get a new pto pres. some1 humble and will not be predjuice.
