Best School in the Area! We moved our children from public school to Calvary Baptist Academy and have had an incredibly positive experience. They’ve thanked us several times for the move, noting a significant reduction in bullying and a richer learning environment. We have felt very welcomed. The music program is outstanding, with impressive choir, strings, and band performances for a smaller school. They have an excellent Robotics program(K-12). In addition to academics(highest SAT average in the area), sports are a priority at Calvary, offering younger kids the chance to develop and work hard for their achievements. This is not a participation trophy school; hard-working student-athletes are rewarded with playing time, with winning as the goal. Calvary provides numerous improvement opportunities through open gyms, Triple C Camps, and Legacy Training(open to the public). All of this while maintaining a Christ-centered message and approach.

We moved over from public school 3 years ago and haven't looked back. Our child is thriving in the environment, both academically and socially. The school offers a Biblical Worldview in all its teachings and looks at the overall

As someone who went to school here from pre k to 12th grade, do not send your kids here. It was not good for my mental health. Their definition of “Christian character” is someone who goes to their church, is quiet, follows the rules, thinks whatever they want them to, and has no personality. I excelled academically and had a few fantastic teachers, but it was not enough to make it a good experience. Do your children a favor and help them learn that they are worthy of love and recognition just for being themselves, not for lining up to some arbitrary preferences and going to Bob Jones University.

As a graduate, I am proud to now send my 4 children to the same school I graduated from.It is not for everyone but if you want to give your children a Biblical worldview and an amazing education (highest SAT scores in the area), then CBA is a great school with lots of opportunities for students. My kids love it!

I think this is one of the best schools ever that you can go to in Midland. Not only can you make some of the best friends ever, but you get an amazing education as well!! When I looked at the rating of our school I was very surprised. I dont know why we got a 3 star on bullying because there arent even any bullies to begin with really and when there are, they are dealt with efficiently. Calvary does not stand for bullying. As a STUDENT of Calvary Baptist Academy my opinion of the school is very high and if I did not have Calvary in my life, I would be a very different person. Another thing about Calvary is the teachers really care about their students and want them to succeed. Some of your best friendships can be student teacher relationships. As a student, I think I would know better than any of the parent or guardians how it feels to attend CBA and I personally would say this is the best school that someone can go to in Midland. You can make lasting friendships, exceed in academics, and even learn an instrument all at the same time. Highly recommend coming and joining us!!!

Poor. Expected so much more from a place touting good character, but they fail at basic christian principles and are more focused on the quantity of students. If you are rich, they may listen more to your issues. That has drawn favor from them. Otherwise, they love their business. It serves to make a single family rich, while leaving many children and parents hurting.

I had attended this school some time ago and it's a wonderful school. As long as you're Christian. I know that if you don't want to send your kid to a private school, then don't. But it's almost like they take it to a new level, with no room to discuss opinions on social matters and political matters. I remember in a elementary year a teacher asked if we were republicans or democrats. We were like 8, how are we supposed to know the difference? At first I said democrat thinking it meant Republican and everyone starred at me in horror (I realized my mistake). Overall, this school is good if you want to shove your views down your kids throats. The teachers and education however, is spot on especially for a Michigan school. If private school is your thing, I'd recommend it.

Wonderful school, caring teachers that go the extra mile to make the most of every child's education and help each child on an individual basis. My son's have gone through the preschool and are now in elementary I take comfort in knowing the staff genuinely cares about my childrens' education, their heart and character, and faith as much as I do. Excellent academics in a Christian setting. Highly recommended.

First of all, the faculty is wonderful. They are "called" on a spriitual level to help kids learn and grow. The academics are decent. They do seem to experience a lot of turnover in the math and science departments. English department is out of this world excellent. That said - I would never send my kids to the school I spent the majority of my childhood at. They really press kids into one path for college (there are only four colleges that are worth attending - and none of them excel academically). There is also an unfortunate amount politics based on the church you attend and whether you are related to a teacher. No room to debate politics, bible interpretation or social issues. I was taught Catholicism was a Cult. Isn't education about discussion and learning? I want my kids to have to think for themselves not go to Bob Jones boot camp.
