If you have a child with disabilities of any type. I would highly recommend you not enroll them at this school. They go in defense mode anytime you ask a questions.. your child will be treated like a burden. That was my family’s experience. I only gave them 1 star because I didn’t get the option for 0. They don’t believe in transparency. My son is in 5th grade and is at a 2nd grade level in reading and Math. I asked for support from his school. I find that most of the teachers either have no training with autistic or anything under the umbrella. Even the littlest request was immediately shut down. Like an aid a classmate. They blue you on everything.

My kids transferred from another Middletown school and have been picked on and bullied ever since they started at Amanda. The principal waits 3 days to return a call about such matters if at all. Kids who have went there for years basically get to do whatever they want. Do not send your kids here if you can help it!!! I am switching to third shift just to home school my child to keep them from ever having to go there again. From what I've heard my niece loved it a few years ago until this new principal who was their librarian took over.
