My child transferred in from a charter school system since kindergarten and ended up being in a MUCH better place both academically and socially all because of Asst Principal Mr. Siles and Counselor Ms. Garcia; she has experienced teachers in AP classes and is fully supported by the team here at Glades Middle School; have been most pleasantly surprised since all along I thought the charter school system was better - not compared to Glades Middle School in Miami, FL!

I’m so pleased that I found out about Glades’ Cambridge and Dreams program. Once we toured the school we knew it was perfect. Wonderful arts, technology electives. Staff is friendly and always visible.

Great school that excels in academics and the arts! Glades Middle has an internationally recognized Band program. They have won the Mark of Excellence National Jazz Award twice and have been the Commended Winner twice also! Glades Middle is a wonderful educational environment that truly cares about kids!

Glades Middle school is the best middle school in Miami Dade. The administrators and teachers are always doing everything they can to make the middle school experience the best for the students. This school has top notch teachers and so many different electives to choose from. The band program is the best in the county if not the state and the computer classes really prepare the students with the latest in technology. Not to mentions art and home economics, which are also exceptional. This school has so much to offer and the students really love coming here. I would highly recommend Glades to everyone!!!

Glades Middle School is a hidden gem. A traditional middle school with special programs that tailor to every child's needs. Whether your child ha a disability, is a regular, advance or a gifted student, this school can tailor to their needs. A positive vibe the minute you walk in, administration and office staff very helpful. Everyone is willing to assist, you do not find this in every school. One of the best traditional middle public school with various curricular activities, challenging academics and athletic programs.

Glades Middle School is a positive, nurturing, and sets high expectations for their students. To begin with the principal is always visible and her priority is the safety of children, with that in mind rules are in place for our children to be safe at all times. Administrators are helpful and supportive. There procedures in place that as parents we must follow and not think we can run the school. The principal is highly effective and competent, it is evident in the achievements. Teachers are caring and respond to students' needs. Overall experience was positive and highly recommend this traditional middle school experience.

I am the parent of 2 kids currently attending this school and at first like many parents did some research in regards to this school's rating. As a family we were excited that the kids were going to attend the school and looked forward to the school year. Much to our surprise the school's administration is not what it seems. They have favoritism towards certain kids and treat the parents as if we are ignorant of any laws and/or regulations. Their ability to run the school is UNACCEPTABLE and down right POOR. I will be transferring my kids out of the school and hope that more parents get involved as I did and see what a horrible job the administration is doing to what once was a wonderful school.

Glades Middle School was a great school.. The teachers were very helpful and supportive. Also, I liked the administration better at Glades than I did at Sunset.

First of all, the principal is horrible; she gives so many opportunities to the 8th grader and what happens to the 6th and 7th? nothing, they just stand by the side lines and watch. she does not care about the younger kids at all as far as education and enjoyment for school. Overall, the board made a mistake picking her. I am quitting soon because of this absolute mess.

The school used to be good until this school year with the new principal and new changes. I used to like this school but now it's super bad and the kids aren't the best example but most of the teachers are still okay. Boo to lanyard IDs, spill out only for 8th graders, and other new changes. The school would be better if it left the traditions that existed since before. Also, it would be better if the students weren't so inappropriate. I feel like my middle school experience would have been better if I went to a different school. This school didn't prepare me for the FCAT. I used to get all 5s and I got a 4 in Reading in 6th grade and I got a 3.5 in Writing! Either there is something wrong with the system or the teachers aren't teaching correctly. The new principal isn't encouraging us that much to learn either. We believe that the school has changed too much since 2 years ago, and not for the better.

My son goes to Glades and he loves the school and so do I. It is very save and the principal and teachers have great control and excellent relations with the kids. I will recommend this school as one of the best middle schools in Miami. I love it and I wish it went all the way to 12 grade. The school also has a great band and I have never seen a teacher with such dedication to its job. Great school
