I have two sons that graduated from here. One had a 504 plan. They were very accommodating and helpful to have him be the most successful he could be.

Horrible. The school is toxic, the administration is toxic, a good number of the students are toxic. If you want your child to get a good education, do not walk, run away from this school and bring them to another school.

I give this rating a 1 star because the whole administration at the school is a disappointment and they are very late at giving information to parents.

I’m rating this a one star because this school needs new administration and teachers. They need qualified teachers. As a High School graduate from Sequoia Secondary I had no opportunities to go into College there was no support to help with any kind of enrollment to colleges and I wouldn’t recommend sending you child to Sequoia. I would definitely go for a public school.

If i Could give zero stars i would. This school is K- 12. Last year they allowed a non-related high school boy sit on the same seat as 7 year old girls nobody questioned it when he would walk the girl to class. This boy was a junior and was able to get a 6 year old girl alone in the girls bathroom and he did not get suspended while the investigation was going on with the Mesa police department and nothing was done to protect the girl instead SHE had to be the one to switch schools. This year my daughters grandma over heard my daughter and her friend talking about how the same boy is not doing the same with a different little girl (8 years old) so i called the school to notify them. I was told the principal would call me back to discuss but its been a week now and i have not heard back. So unless you want your daughters to be preyed on by high school boys i would pick a different school.

I don't care for the vice principal. Or the martial arts teacher nor some of the teachers there. They seem to have favoritism there with the students. My children came from Children's First Academy of Tempe which was an awesome School. They had to go to Sequoia do to there other one being shut down. So being this their first year at Sequoia it might be the last. How are you going to suspend a child without having all your facts or knowing what this other children has done!

I think this is a terrible school I have never seen teachers picking on students like this. How are they suppose to learn when the teachers are upsetting the students.

The administration is on top of things here. Had a little problem with my son getting home work in on time and I was notified promptly. I truly appreciate that. It's not going to be a problem anymore.

Both of my boys have gone to Sequoia Elementary. My oldest has moved onto high school and my youngest is in 8th grade. Sequoia has the best teachers. They are so helpful and very involved in the children's education. When you walk into the office the girls know you by name and are so welcoming. I will miss them all next year.

My son is starting his 3rd year (kindergarten through now 2nd grade) and we are very excited about the school year. The teachers are well trained in identifing the education needs of each individual student and really helped us to develope a balanced home/school schedule that directly impacted his grades and performance. My thanks to the faculty and staff there for all their dedication and hard work educating the youth of our community.

Sequoia Elementary is a great place to work with amazing leadership. I have been a teacher there for the last two years and have loved every minute of it, especially in comparison to other schools I have worked at. I am feel very supported and everyone on staff comes together to support children however they need it!

Moved to Mesa last summer and enrolled my daughter in Sequoia. She just loves it there and is really motivated in her classes. Teachers really welcomed her and is shows in her grades. This was a good decision.

I am so thankful for the amazing staff at Sequoia Elementary. Everyone from the classroom teachers, specials teachers, interventionists, aides, admin, everyone makes you feel special, valued, and welcomed. This is a wonderful school with high academic rigor without losing the family feel.

Didn't know what to expect as some posts were not as good as would have liked. Well that proved to not even be a concern. My daughter is really doing well at Sequoia and it has turned out to be a blessing! I'm really impressed with the way teachers encourage her to strive.

I have two kids that go to Sequoia. They both love it there. They have been going for the last 4 yrs. The teachers and staff are great. My son Is a 6th grader and will continue his education at Sequoia Secondary. I will not put him in public school system. Thanks Sequoia.

My Daughter transferred to Sequoia a few weeks into the first semester this year into Kindergarten. The progress she has made is astonishing. She is reading really well now and doing well in Math and her behavior has improved. Her teacher is very passionate and even the Principal of a rather large school even was able to talk to me about how she was doing. I can tell they truly care about the kids and push them to meet the high standards that will help them develop as the move forward in their eduction

Sequoia Elementary is a school that truly cares about each child. Not just their academics, but what goes on in their lives. Most of the students that attend school here are on free lunch, and their parents are more concerned with putting a roof over their heads and food in their mouths. Many of the students have absolutely no help in the home with academics. Many parents can't speak English and we accept students all year who enroll that can't speak English. Aims scores may be lower than we'd like, but you should try to walk a mile in one of our students shoes.

Sequoia elementary and the academic arts dose not satisfy me they dont give my child any work or projects to do the children waste their times not paying attention, and the bullying my child got the blame for fighting someone that was buylling her and they put my child on probation and called the cops for defending her self , i dont appreciate the school and its staff

I would like to comment on the latest review of Sequoia Elementary. It really saddens me that the author felt he /she had to single out one administrator against the other. Ms. Fraiser is currently the Head of the Campus. Therefore, if that parent, staff member, or whomever commented is not satisfied with the overall leadership, why is the child and/or employee there??? Ms. Manogera has been principal for only a few months, I happen to disagree with the previous comments. I have had my kids their for 4 years and the only reason I kept them their was because of Ms. Fraiser. Since she has not been directly over just elementary it has a cold feeling. The office is unwelcoming and I always feel I am putting the current admin and staff"out"Staff always seemed stressed out, where as before they were happier. I do not want to move my kids mid year, but next year my kids will be leaving. Lastly, the previous review seems to be an inside job, how would a parent know that scores have improved during the short time Ms. Manogera has been there? Shame on who wrote the comment !

We just moved from CA and enrolled at this school. We are happy and the kids seem to like it. The teachers are qualified and leadership is strong. The organization seems to have it together although there is always room for improvement. We appreciate how smooth the transition was for our family. Enrollment was easier than what we have experienced in the past in other states. The campus is in a good location and drop off/pick up is fast and convenient. The school seems to be a good competitor for local public ones and we prefer the structure of a charter school. We also like the location and hours because it fits into our work schedules.
