I am a grandma, a mother, and an educator with over 20 years experience (with Mesa Public Schools) and I have two children who have thrived at this incredible charter school and I couldn’t recommend it more! Cambridge Academy has a nurturing environment. It provides a family atmosphere while challenging children academically and socially to always give their best effort. The staff appears to be a close knit group that enjoy working with each other. My observations show a very focused staff providing a safe, caring environment where the children can thrive and learn. The children are excited to get to school and it appears that the teachers feel the same way! The family events throughout the year are incredible! In my entire career I have never witnessed such enthusiasm from both teachers and students. This is where you want your children! Cambridge Academy makes it a point to know all of their students and their families! These children are not just a number filling an overcrowded classroom. At this school the families are valued. The small class sizes and small school make it the perfect place to grow in knowledge and in life! I only wish my career could have been spent at a school as dynamic as this one! Cambridge Academy is a breath of fresh air in education!

I absolutely love my school! The teachers are incredibly supportive and always go the extra mile to help us succeed. The curriculum is challenging but engaging, and there are so many opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities. The school community is welcoming and inclusive, making it a great place to learn and grow. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a school . It has a feeling of community and also they put a lot of efforts into their activities, such as the father daughter dance we attended. It was so fun !

I know whoever responds to these is going to just contradict every point being made about how excellent their school is and how proud they are of it but this school is not a good place for your child. They can call themselves whatever they choose but educators they're not. They just cover up and contradict everything and blatantly and publicly called parents and former students liars just to prevent looking bad. Our child has thrived exponentially in just a matter of weeks at her new school versus constantly being the teachers helper instead of being challenged to grow. That would have meant the teacher would have actually had to do her job though. These people aren't genuine! Go ahead and cover your butt and get another family member to post another random positive review after this negative one.

We didn't have a good experience with this school. We pulled our child out halfway through the year. Both kindergarten teachers had my child and other kids massaging the teachers shoulders at recess (more than once.) I was treated like I was in the wrong for addressing this. I was avoided by my child's teacher who also referred to herself as "the school mommy" in her classroom and she had other teachers bringing my child out to me during pick-up to avoid me. So, if you have an issue be prepared for things to be flipped on to you. Advocating for your child shouldn't be something that's shamed but oddly enough - you'll be labeled as "that parent" if you do. You Tube videos seemed to be a primary source of teaching that was happening in my child's class and homework folders were requested at the beginning of the year and we were told a few times that homework would be sent home once the kids were settled but nothing was ever sent home. The principal told me that we were supposed to receive homework all along but we never got anything in 5 months. This clued me into the lack of follow-through and structure that I began to notice. My child seemed bored in this class and had developed anxiety after a month of going here, she seemed excited at first. I tried to understand why but young kids have a hard time articulating their feelings until one day, I overheard the lunch-aid lady yelling at the kindergarteners before they can go outside to play after they ate their food. They were to remain completely still and quiet before being allowed on the playground or the aid would point them out and correct them for talking or moving. My child said this happened everyday. It made me uncomfortable as a parent to overhear and witness it. I don't understand the point of it other than to intimidate. Why not have them line up at the door and they can walk outside to recess together like most schools do?There are some teachers here that care about the kids and have a passion for teaching and some that are questionable. My child's new school opened my eyes further to our experience at Cambridge. We needed more structure and our child has grown and learned so much more in the short time she's been at her new school. I feel relieved that we made the switch. I think Cambridge has potential but we weren't willing to stick around to see it.

I would do your research about this school. Check out the teachers and staff's certifications! They're all family/friends who run this school. There's only a few real teachers there. I also heard about bed bugs being in one of the classrooms and nothing being done about it.There's plenty of better schools to look into.

This goes without saying what an amazing school this is, being a single mother is hard and being a single mother that has to be at work by 4:30 in the morning is tough when you have littles that go to school. This school has changed the way I think about people. I never understood what my mom said when she said it takes a village to raise a child. I am so grateful and so blessed to have such a wonderful school for my children to go to.

My son has been attending since 1st grade and my niece started this year.and it has been an amazing experience! The classes are smaller with teachers that are well rounded, highly qualified and can actually spend time teaching your child. They are incredibly dedicated and genuinely care for your child' total well being. My son and niece love this school because it is fun and positive environment.

As a staff member at Cambridge Academy, I have the pleasure of working with some of the most dedicated and passionate educators in the field. They go above and beyond to provide a top-notch education for each and every student. From creating engaging lessons to offering extra help sessions, they show their passion for education and commitment to student success. The school is lucky to have such dedicated and hardworking educators who constantly strive to enhance the learning experience. I'm proud to be part of such an amazing team!

Cambridge Academy has been a blessing in our family’s lives. My daughter is currently in 2nd grade with Mrs. Wiggins and she is THRIVING, GROWING, and EXPANDING her knowledge with not only her social skills- but academic abilities. Wiggins gives the time and patience my daughter needs to not just meet the academic standards, but goes beyond to make sure she is challenged every day in any subject matter needed. The patience and time that is dedicated to my daughter shows not just with her but the students she’s around. Cambridge Academy’s dedication to children’s successes inside and outside the classroom is/was the reason for my choosing the school when I moved into the area. The constant yearly improvements to the school aesthetically are also a plus as there as been clubs and others after school programs that keep students engaged! Continue the good work Coyotes!!!

Cambridge is one of the best schools that I have come across. They are not your typical corporate run charter school that is no different from the public schools. The teachers and administration really care about the kids. It feels like a family! My kids are not only learning academics and are way above their friends that go to other schools, but they are also taught morals and values that they practice everyday! Great staff and great students! I highly recommend!

Wow. If you are new to the area like we were and are looking for a great school but are overwhelmed with all the choices- Cambridge might be it. We are new to Cambridge and have been very impressed this year. They are a small school, but they really have a great staff. You can tell the teachers and principal (principals?) go above and beyond. We cannot wait to see how much our kids grow come May.

I love this school! My daughter is going on her 3rd year here and we couldn't be happier with her teachers and the staff! If you want a school that cares about your child this is it! Highly recommend!

Unbelievably disappointed that my last review was erased. I will continue to advocate for my children and others. This school is a head hunter. They do not have character building strategies or a structured curriculum with an ample amount of resources for children to fall back on if they do struggle. My child's teacher have been extremely uncommunicative when struggles are clearly present. The lack of connection is worrysome to me as a parent. My child has a learning disability and needs more one on one time with a paraprofessional to slow things down a little. Cambridge refuses to offer any support for children who are struggling. Steer clear from this school.

My kids don't want to leave. The only downfall is the fact there aren't many performing arts activities or sports choices and the ones after school are a bit pricey. Overall I love the small atmosphere and my kids really love it too.

We came to Cambridge after a rough time finding a good fit for our child and couldn't be happier. With a philosophy similar to Zaharis, and classes hovering around 16-18 kids it was a no brainer. More people need to know about this gem of a school. The teachers and staff make you feel so welcome, much like a big family. I couldn't be more excited for my 4 year old to to start Kindergarten here this Fall!

We were searching for a new school for our daughters and checked out lots of choices in the area. We knew from the moment we walked into Cambridge and met the principal that it was the perfect fit. We love how friendly the teachers and staff are and how dedicated they are towards helping or children achieve success. The small classroom sizes were really important to us! We went from having 30 students in a class to only about 18 and it's great. The school participates in lots of fun activities to keep the students engaged.. they really know how to make learning fun and exciting! Our daughter was lucky enough to be placed in Ms. You Wiig's third grade class this year - she's the best! We highly recommend this school !

This is my sons 3rd year at Cambridge and he loves it. The school grounds are very nice with grass and large playground equipment. They offer a lot of extracurricular activities during and after school. The teachers and staff are all top notch. And most importantly, I know my son is getting a well rounded, solid education! I love that they don't just teach to the test! They teach in very engaging ways that will last throughout the child's lifetime!

Sending my children to Cambridge Academy was the best decision I could have made. I have seen my son grow from a shy and timid kindergartener to a confident and compassionate 6th grader. My daughter is currently in 1st grade and she absolutely loves it. Everyone at the school is very approachable and there truly is a sense of community. There are many fun activities, the classes are small, and, from what I’ve seen, discipline issues are minimal. This school focuses on raising good people, not just on achieving high scores.

My boys have been attending since kindergarten and it has been an amazing experience! The classes are smaller with teachers that are well rounded, highly qualified (some with masters degress) and can actually spend time teaching your child. They are incredibly dedicated and genuinely care for your child' total well being. My children learn there because it is fun and natural for them in this schools positive environment.
