I am so glad we chose to put our kids in Boulder Creek. All three of our kids were identified as gifted very young, so we really thought about what schools would be best for them. We considered charter schools, other schools in the district that had higher test scores, or schools with more robust gifted programming. Ultimately, we decided to stay with our neighborhood school, and it has been a wonderful experience. My kids had good teachers that found creative ways to challenge and engage them, they made good friends from all sorts of different backgrounds and our whole family has enjoyed the strong sense of community we get from going to our neighborhood school. I’ve had the opportunity to be involved with the school, volunteering in different classrooms as well as with the PTSO and it has been inspiring to see the dedication and creative problem solving of the teachers and staff. I feel confident sending my children to Boulder Creek, and I brag all the time about the school garden, the therapy dog, the yoga and mindfulness classes that have made the elementary experience even richer for my family. My older two kids have gone on to rigorous gifted programs in middle and high school, and I feel like Boulder Creek prepared them well in terms of academics, work ethic, character and social skills. Choosing Boulder Creek has been a great decision.

My children have enjoyed going to school here and are engaged with their friends, teachers and the principal. They are excited by what they're learning and feel safe and happy to go to school. As a parent, I feel like any minor concerns I've had have always been addressed and respectfully listened to by the principal and staff and been resolved easily. The PTSO provides fun activities for our children and does fundraisers that really help provide for the school as well. Front office staff is friendly too! We love Boulder Creek.

My family loves Boulder Creek! The teachers/staff are great. They are friendly and supportive. They have many activities/events such as Donuts with Grown ups, sno cone Fridays and the Halloween Howl. Very good school!

We absolutely love Boulder Creek. My daughter is part of the special education MED/SCILLS program. I have nothing but positive things to say about our school. We feel welcomed from the minute we walk in the door. The front office staff is so nice, the principal Mr Leeper is an A+ principal, and my daughter's team is so caring, kind, patient, and loving with her and the rest of her peers. They go above and beyond for these kiddos and the school includes them in everything. We have been very happy with move to this school.

Boulder Creek has had a lot of positive changes recently. About a week ago students invited their parents to school. What a fun night! The kids enjoyed showing their parents all around the school. The parents had so much fun seeing the school through their children’s eyes.

As a long-time employee at this school I have seen it change quite a bit through the years. Boulder Creek is a full Title I school: employing two reading coaches, a math coach, and a social worker. Teachers consistently participate in professional development classes to stay current on best practices and educational research. Every decision this school makes is made with the best interests of students and their families in mind. This is the second year that the current principal has led the school. He has made some changes, and for some that was difficult, but the changes have proven to be beneficial. After the school being led for 20 years by the previous principal, it was hard to some traditions change. However, new traditions have already taken hold.

My kids have attended Boulder Creek Elementary for 16 years now! My youngest will be I. 6th grade next year and let me tell you, I will be so sad once I have no more children attending. The staff is so friendly and go out of their way to get to know their students and families! Mr. Leaper is the new principal and he is implementing some really great ideas!

My daughter has attended this school since kindergarten, and is not in fourth grade. We have only had positive experiences with all of the staff. Last year was a little difficult to adjust to, but the teachers and school communicated often to help us understand the plans while we were virtual, then hybrid, and then in-person. Everyone worked hard to keep the environment as positive as possible.

Boulder Creek is really a different experience from my kids last school. They are really succeeding and feel so much less stress. They have grown in confidence and are willing to try even if they don't get it at first.

My son and I have had a very positive experience at BCE. I love the staff and teachers. Everyone is incredibly helpful and love to have classroom volunteers. I would recommend this school to my friends if they lived in this area.

I love this school, when my oldest was ready to start kindergarten I was freaked out. No idea what I was doing in 9 months pregnant with my second, and sobbed. They did the best to show me how and when. We Got you. Her teacher emailed me everyday and now at 4th grade again great year. My middle child starts next year.. I cant wait.

Boulder Creek is a great place for Parents and Kids. I have found if you treat people there with respect, you get the same right back. We have 4 children and 2 have graduated from Boulder Ctrrk El. And are now in Jr High and high school while 2 are currently attending Boulder Creek. The teachers there have had have been absolutely amazing. The teachers have always treated me and my family with the utmost professionalism. When we have called the teachers we have always received a call back within 24 hours, and my sons' teacher has even e-mailed us on the weekend. I think some people forget that teachers have a personal life, and 25+ other kids to deal with. They are not miracle workers OR babysitters. As a parent it is OUR responsibility to ensure our children are learning and to follow through with checking up on them and partnering with teachers. It's easy to complain and blame; it's harder to take responsibility.
