Merrill was a great school to place my child in when we moved from homeschooling to a public school setting. The school admin, teachers, and counselors helped my child integrate into the school community, and helped provide much needed resources. We were able to immediately get involved in clubs and after school programs. Teachers responded to frequent contact about my child's progress, and I was able to quickly get a 504 plan in place to provide my child with accommodations.

I attended Merrill as a student and had a very positive experience. I now work as a teacher and love my job. Merrill is a wonderful community, and I am proud to be a Vandal!

My child attended Merrill Middle School and did very well. I was pleased with the elective options that the small school had to offer. There are several clubs and activities that students can be involved in. The teachers were easy to communicate with and my child was happy going to school. I would recommend Merrill Schools.

All three of my students (two graduated and one still attending) have went to Merrill. It is an outstanding school system. Both my daughters have graduated with a year of college under their belt. They offer many opportunities for all students no matter their pathway. For a small school system you will not find more opportunities for kids to experience. The wide range of classes include welding, art, band, ESports, Robotics, STEM, Yearbook, Weightlifting, In the High School they also offer Delta College Classes on site as well as a 13th year program and Work Based Learning. In addition to the academics they offer excellent sports programs and opportunities for students to participate in a variety of different sports. Merrill offers small class sizes which gives the students an opportunity to get to know their teachers and administrators at a more personal level.

MERRILL SCHOOL HAS A LOT OF PROBLEMS!!!First of Merrill middle-high WAS a good school until they got a new principle. They are more worried about money then the education. They say they have a anti-bullying school system but I don't know how many times my 2 children have been in the office or talked to the teachers about someone bullying them and nothing has EVER been done but if the staff knows the student good then something would get done that is how the Village of Merrill works here the better you are known the more that will get done for your child. We have been threaded from the school that they was going to send the cops to are home because are children miss to much school but let me say both of my children have asthma which is on file and has been on file every time my kids are not at school they want a doctors note ok so that was what I was doing until my husband talked to someone and was told we don't have to do that because it is already on file that they are ill children. I will be looking for another school to send my children to next year as I am sick nothing getting done for my children and something getting done for the ones that are there family or good friend.

Merrill Middle school is below the mark on almost everything. Most of the staff are very hard to get along with. Math teacher is the worst to deal with, very hard to understand and does a horrible job teaching. There has been times when every student in the class has failed the test and when asked why it is always blamed on the student. It is very plain to see to me if every student fails it means she did not teach it right. Superintendent and principal seem to care more about money than the students. If you have a problem don't expect it to be taken care of unless you are riding their back 24-7. I do have wonderful things to say about the Merrill Elementary School which I think is the best around with great teachers and staff which are so loving and always working with the parents. If your kids do not mind leaving their friends after 5th grade in my opinion I would send them to Hemlock.
