We are so lucky to be in such a great community. My child has a very serious allergy and the school, teachers and principal have all been wonderful in managing this. The lunch ladies have even sought be out on Facebook to talk directly and make sure they are meeting my child’s needs if he chose to eat hot lunch. Very supportive community with not just special requests but also educational. My child is reading, writing and doing math at an educational level higher than theirs. My husband and I loved growing up in a small community and we are blessed to have found another to raise our family in. I would recommend Hemlock public schools to any of our friends and family.

Exhausting. My job as a parent should not include monitoring my child's teachers and having to take days off at work to do so.

One of the best schools in the SISD! The staff is very caring and great with the students and the PTO is amazing. I highly recommend K.C. Ling Elementary and all the Hemlock schools!

I find that from the school we can from in the township where they wanted me to "drug" my child and not deal with her. Where she would tell me everyday she didn't want to go.This school was the complete opposite. The 2nd grade teacher knew she was having difficulties and took it upon herself to get her the help she really needed. Now she is a happy 5th grader with all A & B grades with teachers she love to see. She loves to go to school and so does her sister. We had only one issue on the bus, but that changed when we got a busdriver that actaully would keep the kids inline and not let them run all over. I have found I love this school for the help they have given and with their nice caring teachers. :)

This is a great school and school district that care quite a bit about our children's education. I'm really glad I'm raising my daughter here.

It's a terrible atmosphere. Very Cliquey. The parents are Saginaw Township wannabes, the secretary has a very veiled contempt for those not in her circle of friends. It does NOT make a parent feel comfortable if you just want to go in, mind your business and be concerned with your child. It's not easy to volunteer with the requirements, and unless you are one of the few 'favored ones', they don't really want you there. I'm not griping because I've EVER received this attitude at any other school, I haven't. I've even worked as a sub teacher at other schools, you would think they would want me to come work for free. When my son had issues, the principle seemed very concerned, but when you got down to brass tacks, he really just brushed us off. He just wanted the kid on meds and be done with it. That's not how I approach things.
