- Submitted by parent on May 17, 2010Sheehy is a typical inner town central valley school where resources are limited. Caring staff don't always believe in the population they serve, but none the less commit to doing the best they know how. Leadership from the district lacks guided direction for effective academic advancement and is too politicized; but our child has taken advantage of the opportunities provided. There is a heavy self-reliance on student achievement - staff development is still at the talking stages for the most part - but intentions are good. Our child is expected to keep focus where none is provided and to leverage the strengths of the teachers where it exists. We are encouraged by the optimism expressed by parents and staff.
