A few years back my daughter was taken to a room by herself to have a photo taken of her butt. She's chunky we get that, but because of her weight she can't keep jeans up and being so little she just sees play and doesn't worry about herself. She gained so much weight from a medical condition now this was a few years back now she gets bullied her back pack ends up in the trash can her self esteem is very low and we find her crying in corners of our house.

My grandson is a student at Alicia Reyes and I have to say that i disagree with the comments, although I do not live in Merced I have been to the school and met with school staff and have found them to be pleasent. My grandson is in Kindergarden and I am very impressed with the fact that his teacher takes the time to individualize each students homework to meet them where they are at as an individual student . I have nothing but good things to say and I am very sad that my grandson will be leaving Alicia Reyes in a couple of weeks to move back to Fresno. Although I will be happy to have him close to me I do not believe that Fresno schools will be able to offer what Alicia Reyes did to my grandson!

There is a reason why this is one of the worst schools in merced. They have a obvious gang banger working in the front office and there staff umm no comment.

This school has the most incompetent staff I have ever seen. They preach diversity but yet you see a great deal of discrimination on how students are treated. Also instead of hiring qualified staff they hire friends and family. I don't see any equal opportunity considering 99% of the faculty is Hispanic. There definition of diversity is really something to laugh at. There grading system is based on a curb factored by ethnicity. It's funny how we push things like diversity, unity and equality. When it's not applied to the mass population, what a sad and unfair world we live in.
