St Raymond has been a great school that truly prepares students for high school while fostering a warm, family-like atmosphere. The teachers are dedicated, supportive, and go above and beyond to ensure every student succeeds. The school prioritizes safety, creating a welcoming environment where students feel secure and valued. Academically, the rigorous yet engaging curriculum equips students with the skills and confidence needed for the next level. In short St. Raymond has strong academics, caring staff, or a close-knit community, it is a fantastic place for students to grow and thrive.

Horrible experience. I was brutally bullied here. Nothing was done. Teachers are all very old and do not know how to connect with the new generations. Unless you are seriously religious, don't inflict this pain upon your child.

This school is okay, not great. The education across all grades is respectable, but the social aspect is challenging. The parents and kids can be very exclusive and at times kids can be mean. If your kid is not usually considered one of the popular kids this might be a tough place for them.

This school is unbeilveable the school is on a huge budget the some of the kids are very exclusive my child had a rough time here at St.Raymonds and one a teacher showed belly in front my son, highly inipropriate! The school looks like its going to fall down soon like in 5 years at least also teachers were fighting in the 3rd grade class from my sons point of view amd the gym is horrible and smells please I'm begging you don't send your child to St.Raymonds

I would strongly advise against sending your kid here unless you want to be paying for years of therapy. Not to mention the education provided is horrible. In 7th grade SCIENCE class I was told that evolution doesn’t exist, along with that we were told sex ed was too “ inappropriate” to learn. (Pretty good logic if you want your child to be a mother/father at 15). After leaving this school in 7th grade I went to hill view. Where I realized I was YEARS behind In education. And the things I was taught at St. Raymond’s were outdated or I was just straight up taught how to do them wrong. Teachers were absolutely brutal. Instead of discreetly giving us our grades back, students are publicly humiliated. Our grades on our tests were shown to everyone in the class STARTING IN KINDERGARTEN. Not to mention this school is extremely homophobic. Along with the homophobia, the school is RACIST. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE.

My children are current students at this school. As a family that transferred from another private school, I can confidently say this school is fantastic and one of the best in the peninsula. We were looking for a school that was supportive, challenging and provided similar values that we teach at home. I feel proud as I watch my children become kind, confident leaders.

This school has so much potential but it has fallin short when it comes to adjusting to what each kid needs to learn. If your child needs any support or help at all, you are on your own. At times homework is sent home with the intention of you as a parent teaching the lesson, teachers have sent home video links on how we the parenst can teach the lessons. A large percentage of students have outside tutoring just to keep up. The teachers and the school do not have a cluture of beign flexable when it comes to learning. You either understand or you get a tutor. The staff turnover is high as well. The parent community is amazing and very involed it fundraiding and school activities. If you know your child will not need any help, this is a great school.

Our kids are learning at a high level which will prepare them well for high school.

The school is brainwashing children. The opposite of educating and guiding students to become confident, respectful global citizens. We have experienced teachers fighting in the class room in front of 3rd graders. And teachers don't have the necessary credentials.

Our son has adored his middle school teachers. Mrs. Hamilton, the science teacher, teaches them to use the scientific method in regular labs and experiments. Mr. Sullivan is inspiring as their social studies teacher, and Mr. Colt (English) cares so much. It is an inspiring environment.

Very exclusive place, good teachers, but awful environment for children, unless you don't mind that you child is excluded or become exclusive.

I have been a parent of two elementary school age kids at this school for three years now. The new principle has been really turning around the school. Teachers we had have been very good. The administration is very good at addressing issues that come up. The school is super organized, has lots of fun events, and community is inclusive. The bad experience written by the reviewers below can happen, though, because the school is very small. There is only one class per grade, so depending on what kind of kids and parents are in a particular grade, classroom dynamics can be very different. But I would think this goes for any school. I like that the school teaches kids to be kind to each other and to care community. Kids are given opportunity for public speaking and kids are excited about it. The school is very on top of marking and checking students' work, and they return them to parents to check. Kids get tested for the contents of every book they read. The math curriculum in elementary school is probably better than California Average, but I wish the school set the standard to at least the east coast, if not the world. But overall, I have been happy with the school.

Our family has been very happy at St. Raymond. We have not experienced any of the negative noted below. I'm sorry that someone had that experience but that is not typical in our experience.

After many years, we had to remove our child from this school. While very well funded, highly organized and with a well developed curriculum, the fact is that the social experience here gives your child only three choices: be a bully, be a victim or be a bystander. It is my impression that parents who are content at this school are tolerating bullying simply because they believe it does not "affect" their child. Such a bright parent body and student body, it is so disheartening to realized how uninformed some can be when it comes to verbal aggression or relational bullying. Some classes are having serious retention problems because the administration and faculty are just at a loss to impose a consequence on bullies who come from " prominent" families". The new administration shares no outrage in the cruelty thrown onto a few children. In the end, the outstanding materials and curriculum can not offset the effects of a chronic diet of social isolation, public humiliation and injurious comments that bullied children in this school are forced to endure. Parents Beware! Bystanders matter too!

Fantastic place for a child to learn. Teachers are always honest. The community is always helping families and students to grow. The principal and teachers always have an open line of communication. My children have been at the school for six years. Strong English, Math, and Science programs.

I am the parent of a middle school student and 2012 graduate. I have been at St Raymond for over 10 years. I could not be happier regarding the education of my children. Each student is challenged through rigorous academic, social and spiritual learning experiences. It's also one of the most technologically advanced elementary schools with a one to one ipad program in the middle grades and new STEM Lab. This school has great parent involvement that allows you to work with your schedule. As a full time working mom, I have had plenty of opportunity over the years to be a room mom, auction chair or just chaperone my childs field trip. Parents work with the teachers and staff to help educate their child. I can honestly say that each St Raymond student graduates with a great education and the knowledge they are responsible for their actions and their impact on society. They are well prepared for any of the High Schools in this area.

I could not be happier with St. Raymond School. I have three children there and all are thriving. I just had the most amazing experience with my daughter's teacher. The teacher called me last night - actually put out a call to me - to let me know that she had a concern about my daughter's division. She just wasn't getting the concept. And this teacher took it upon herself to call me, talk me through her strengths and weaknesses and made recommendations on how I could work with her at home. I was so pleased that I wrote an email to the Principal (who is new and amazingly fabulous) and cc:ed the teacher to let her know how thankful I was to this teacher. And then, to my surprise, I got an email from the Principal about two weeks later just following up to see how my daughter was doing. Love it! The faculty and administration are so involved the students well being - it is a true partnership.
