Amazing! St. Joseph School has been such a positive influence on my children's lives. We moved them away from the public school 5 years again and have been blown away by the quality of the education they are receiving! Highly recommend!

St. Joseph School Mendham is an outstanding school we are not even at the St. Joes school a year and from day one the parents and staff have made us feel like part of this big loving family which reminds my wife and I of our catholic school experience growing up. Our kindergarten child adores going to school every single day. He loves his teachers and they are truly the best they make learning an adventure and continue to challenge his individual abilities daily. He continues to excel in all his studies . We are so thrilled to have found such an academically challenging school teach our child such good moral values to be successful in this world today.

Amazing!!! Sjs prepares its students extremely well for high school and college. It instills in students at a young age a hard work ethic and self-motivation. Furthermore, it provides a fun learning environment. After four years, I still consider my best friends to be the classmates I had at St. Joseph School.

Great school and great value! I have 3 children who graduated and went on to Delbarton. They were well prepared and have been highly successful. Loved St. Joes and all it offered - kids got the best of academics, enrichment and spiritual growth. They now have preschool and extended care which is a huge bonus! I personally made lifelong friends while my children were there - it is a fantastic community.

A top tier faith based school. We had 12 years there with our children and felt it was the perfect foundation for them. They are strong smart young men today. I attribute that in part to SJS. It is a wonderful nurturing place for your children.

My sons both attended St. Joe's and it prepared them rigorously, both in terms of academics and life skills. Thriving in competitive colleges now, they remain enthusiastic and grateful alumni. Thank you, St. Joseph School!

St. Joseph's offers a wonderful, faith-based education in a nurturing environment. The faculty is high quality with many having advanced degrees. They care about each and every student. The principal is amazing and knows every child and their families. The school has also made great investments in technology and STEM. Our children love going to school everyday and are flourishing academically and spiritually.

No school is perfect, but St. Joseph school has been a perfect choice for my family. This little school focuses on the whole child. The academics are stellar, and the extracurricular enrichment programs evolve each year but what sets it apart is the spiritual journey my 4 children have taken. Each morning they are greeted by a faculty member that know them by name. They start off each day with morning prayers, hearing intentions for those who are in need. They begin their day knowing the world is much bigger than they are, but they can contribute with positive energy. The opportunities to volunteer and participate in selfless acts of kindness begins in kindergarten and continues through 8th grade. The class sizes are small which lends itself to a more directed level of teaching. You child cannot get lost or fly under the radar. This attention builds confidence and character. 2 of my 4 children are in high school. St. Joseph school prepared them more than adequately as both are high achieving honor students in advanced level classes and the friendships they have made here have transcended into high school. Put simply, this school is a special place.

Saint Joseph School is the perfect place for a faith-based education in a loving environment. As a faculty member, I can attest that our school grows and changes every year. Since my first year on the faculty, so many wonderful changes have occurred. We have state-of-the-art technology, a new Maker Space, a principal committed to utilizing the abilities and strengths of her talented faculty, teachers who LOVE their jobs and are keen to ensure best practices in educating the whole child, families who are supportive and involved, and above all, children who are thriving and kind. SJS is AdvancEd accredited, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, and a Diocese of Paterson Star School. It is so much more than a school community - it is a loving, supportive family.

St. Joseph has been home to our girls for 5 years. They began in the elementary years and are now in the middle school. The environment of love and caring is shared by the teachers and felt in the halls. With new leadership there has been a big focus on technology and investing in learning tools that will help the kids be successful. I highly recommend taking a look at St. Joe's at any grade level.

We love our school. The teachers work to make sure each child is successful. St. Joseph school is a Catholic school. The values taught there will be with my children their entire lives. The academics are challenging and above other schools. We are very happy here!

We love St. Joseph School! We have 2 children at St. Joe's and we could not be happier. Not only is it academically challenging, but we love that our faith and values we exhibit at home are reinforced at school. The small environment is also key to our children's success. Teachers are excellent at communicating with parents when there may be issues. Our youngest was having focus issues in class and the teacher was on it right away. She offered solutions to both my daughter and also offered advice at things my husband and I could do at home to help her. I love knowing that my children are challenged in the classroom and are challenged to be better people everyday in all areas of their life. St. Joe's is an excellent choice!

Awful awful awful... 5 and 6 tests a week, information shoved down kids throats with no enjoyment in learning. Bullying, favoritism, and they call themselves Catholics. 30 kids to one teacher, 15 minutes for lunch and recess in the back parking lot for another 15. They'll take your 10 grand and you'll do most of the educating at your own kitchen table. Books that are falling apart (cast offs from the public school) Tired lesson plans, and minimally educated teachers. Warm fuzzies at the elementary level, but by middle school, if you're actually looking for an education - go elsewhere!

My husband and I have advanced degrees and we are very happy with St. Joe's. Don't know if you live in the Mendhams but borough schools offer "0" enrichment for advanced students, township has a nice program. Most of these accolades - which several schools around here have - Blue Ribbon, School to Watch are baseless. Plenty have learned in a 1:31 ratio and are doing quite well. Grade inflation happens in all of the schools around here to please parents. St. Joe's is a very good school and does a fine job academically and creating good character.

St. Joe's school in Mendham is awful. My husband and I have advanced degrees and this school does not excite kids about education. Our kids are straight A, well behaved students, but were subjected to teachers yelling at other students in every class. 15 minutes for lunch & 15 minutes for recess; the kids barely have time to eat! Mindless homework so that struggling students will be brought up by brute force. Huge grade inflation; kids who get 80s receive an A so their parents feel good about their education. This minimizes the students who truly earned As. No imagination in the curriculum. Many teachers do not have education degrees; they are moms in the school who got certified alternate route with St. Joe's as their sponsor! If the schedule is tight, religion is the first subject cut from the day. No academic enrichment program for top students. 31 students and one teacher squeezed into a room meant for 20 students. They put their resources into applying for empty accolades such as "Blue Ribbon School" (useless, as it is awarded to schools that marginally improve their standardized test scores and is not based on a solid academic program or anything of substance).

St. Joseph School is a fantastic school. My children are receiving a fantastic education. The teachers are truly dedicated and enjoy teaching. I find that the school works with parents to help each student succeed, but the school does not have the resourses to address students with special needs. It is a Catholic school first and foremost. Parnets are always welcome in the school.

Good academic standards. This schools pumps out good soldiers and worker bees - "out of the box" thinking is discouraged. No future Einsteins, or Bill Gates or Steve Jobs here. Very harsh on kids who have special needs/issues by unfairly excluding them from activities they should be able to participate in. No compassion at all. Yet calls itself a Catholic school. Shame on you.
