I miss Mrs. Brown so much. She was a true leader and knew how to make the right decisions that would put this school where it needs to be. It's sad true leadership is a distant memory. I'm so glad my kids won't be going to Douglass next year. This school is a disgrace to Memphis.

Douglass is a new optional school that recently received the Blue Ribbon Award in Education. The micro-soceity in conjunction with its media arts and public service program provide my child with excellent opportunities to apply the information he learns in the classroom to society that surrounds him. Often, children have a problem connecting the lessons they learn in the classroom with the way individuals live in a society. So, through the optional program may child develops his oratorical skills, leadership skills, entrepreneurial skills, critical thinking skills, and the curriculum is academically challenging enough to ensure that he can compete in a global society. The community is very supportive of the school and each teacher cares about the students. There is a real dedication on behalf of the administrators and the teachers to ensure that your child is a prepared for the next grade up to college.
