- Submitted by parent on June 10, 2016Sunnyside is not a great school. it was! at least I think so, about three years ago it started to go down hill. the teachers want to push medication on children, not just my child. several children that I am aware of! my kids are coming home swearing and talking about s**. where are the teachers when this is happening!? seriously?
- Submitted by teacher on July 15, 2011I was employed at Sunnyside Elementary for 30 years. During that time I experienced, first hand, the concern and dedication of staff, the growth of school and community, and the school becoming the first fully accrediated Title 1 school in Dinwiddie County. The staff, students, parents and community worked very hard to achieve this recognition and to continue to make positive gains. The current principal has done a wonderful job in continuing the school's motto - "I Can, I Know I Can, I Will".
