Coming from a current student I would say that this school is average. The school itself is very dirty in some areas unfortunately due to messy students and janitors not cleaning up after them. The school air is horrible, vents and fans in the building haven’t been cleaned it years so the air is very dirty. School events are actually fun and enjoyable, school lunch is average. I wish funding was put towards things we actually need! The school lunch that’s funded to us is so poor quality. It’s like they meet the requirements by the government and it’s the bare minimum. Food does not fill you up at all, now further more about education I think it’s very good. You are offered some advanced courses which is amazing for the people who are at that level. In a nutshell I believe if the school had better access to higher quality food, cleaner environment students would be performing better academically. Like let’s be real taking an SOL and being only offered a nutri-grain bar is not going to make you perform high on a test. Teachers are people to, so not every teacher will be nice or caring but it is what it is. For anyone already at the school or coming to the school I wish you luck and success in your future!

In this school if you are any different from what the students expect you to be you will be bullied, this school made my anxiety much worse and i do not recommend putting your kid in this school unless you want them to get into at least one fight or big argument with a student. Fights happen almost daily and the schools teachers are a complete 50/50 with if they will actually teach you or not. If you report said teachers the school will do absolutely nothing about it, its sad to watch this school go into complete shambles and i feel bad for the staff for having to deal with such bad students.

This school is a complete wreck. The students & staff get treated poorly for no reason. There are roach, ant, and mice problems. Students fight almost everyday and always start drama for dumb reasons. As a student here I follow the rules and listen to the teachers as much as I can (even though what they say doesn't make much sense) and I still get treated like a toddler. The staff yells at you for no reason sometimes. Another problem is kids skipping class because they ruin going to the restroom for all of us, you can't even make it to the bathroom without a "go back to class" or "where are you going". It's exhausting. Just because a few people can't act right the whole grade gets punished for it. People are also so judgmental especially the "popular" kids (they act so stuck up and skip all the time). I'm just tired of this school so I'm thankful that my last year here starts in a few weeks.

Ive attended this school 6-8th grade and tbh your better off homeschooling. The school has physical fights pretty much daily, bullying, there's mice/rats, roaches and whatnot, the food doesn't even look edible, I understand the food is free but dang. The teachers are ok, but the kids will judge you for any and everything, I constantly felt judged for the person I am. This school made my anxiety so bad to the point where I had breakdowns before I even got inside the building, and stopped showing up completely.

This school has bullying, rats, kids saying profanity all day, fights constantly, and overall teachers that don't help students learn all that much(other than the occasional nice teacher) I would not recommend bringing your child to this school at all. There are always threats and in my two years as a student so far there have been two threats and mice everywhere, including the cafeteria. The food can hardly be considered edible and the principals are changing almost yearly as they can't handle the students.

Do not take your child to this school it has rats, roaches , and kids who threaten to shoot the school up. The teachers are normally rude and do favoritism. The school principal does nothing to the bullies. School lunch is poorly made. The bus drivers curse at kids. The high schoolers on the busses act like complete animal's. 0/10 don't send your child to this school as a 8th grade student here. This school ant' it.

3/10. All of the good teachers are gone because they got tired of the way they were treated. Other teachers hand out too much homework or are very strict. We are not allowed to have water because they're concerned that it may be vodka, but what kid brings straight vodka to school? There are a lot of policies in order that simply do not make sense and I haven't enjoyed my time here. Thankfully, I won't be here next year.

Toxic work environment for the staff - administration is constantly putting them down, short-changing them, and not supporting them. Most staff are leaving at the end of the 2016-2017 school year because they just hate being here. That goes for the kids too. They know the admins won't bother to learn their names, won't do anything if they're being bullied, and won't enforce any kind of homework policy. They know their teachers are worn out and won't be there next year. Some of the kids take pride in recounting how many teachers they've run off!The special needs kids are lumped in with everyone else without any real support, and the co-teachers in the few inclusion classrooms are constantly pulled to act as substitute teachers because the school can't keep substitutes on their rosters. There's no support for the gifted kids either - no advanced classes are offered and if they "test out" of math on the ARDT test, they still take the same math class as the kids with the lowest scores.
