My child currently attends BPS I’m very much disappointed with how the administration,her teacher and counselor have handled her being bullied. My husband and I were told last year to respect the bullies culture because the child is a person of color. Keep in mind this child was pulling my child’s hair,tripping her and going out of his way to single her out. When my husband and I spoke with the principal and requested our daughter to be moved out of class to another class we were told in the real world you can’t separate from people you don’t like. My child never had a problem with not liking the other child. My child was being bullied! I feel like BPS is an unsafe environment and should be investigated how things are being handled. They like to sweep bullying under the rug and make everything about racism.

My son has attended BPS from Pre-K to 2nd grade. I couldn't ask for better teachers and staff! He loves his school and teachers as well. They all have been extremely helpful. The principle has a fun attitude which seems to keep the kids interested and does an outstanding job being involved with the students and the entire school. I have nothing but great experiences to speak of about BPS. I feel like the schools goals are set inline with each grade level. There is lots of support from the parent community as well. I think BPS is an all around great school!

Terrible. Teacher grabbing kids arms and yanking them where she wants them. Principal making excuses for unacceptable behavior. All the children look terrified all the time. Constant yelling at kids. Everyone looks unhappy and miserable at their jobs. Enough said.

My daughter has attended Blackstone Primary for over a year now and we absolutely love it! We've traveled quite a bit and this is the best school by far! Her teachers have been amazing and the principle, while businesslike, is great too. Last school year (Fall2010-Spring2011), my daughter attended three different schools and was far behind her peers when she started BPS. With the help of a good teacher and an amazing after-school tutoring program, she's all caught up! Everything from the friendly staff to their many after-school programs (every day except Friday there is SOMETHING that lasts until 4:30-5pm!) to the technology they're using in the library and classrooms just impresses both my husband and I.
