I've had 5 of my kids go to school a good school for a small town hands on approach letting them make mistakes but learning from those mistakes and building.

at first i thought this school couldnt be any worse.then i realized they had no budget and the teachers work hard on the job and off. the problem was the city of mccleary not helping out when the most important thing here(the kids)

McCleary School is a very good school that operates on a small budget. The entire staff is very concerned about the well being of their students and much more willing to accommodate different needs than larger schools. The prior administration always put kids first even when that meant standing alone. I am sorry to have lost him and hope his replacement will have kids always as the first priority. The principal and counselor are excellent and the teachers are beyond dedicated. The school has better technology than many larger schools and is very forward thinking. Class sizes are smaller than other area schools and community involvement is encouraged. Those who run the school down are usually operating on their own agenda and have been offended because they haven't been allowed to run the school.

I moved to McCleary five years ago and this town is no different than any small town: if you are not from here you will never be accepted. The people at the school have worked their way to where they are and they are insecure and will keep anyone away who they feel threatens their way of life. The least educated local will be hired over the brightest and smartest qualified person. This entire town is kind but small minded. The general attitude of the town is intolerance to new ideas and this is why this town is dying. McCleary is being left behind and this is just the way they want it.
