I am not sure why McLane only has a 3/10 ranking. Our experience having two children at McLane and one who has special accomodations has been wonderful. Communication is focused and consistent. Teachers and administrators are catering, communicative and committed to their role as educators. They have worked with us to support our children's educational and social emotional needs. I feel good each day entrusting my kids to the staff at McLane.

Would not recommend this place.. My kid wasnt able to adjust supposedly when no issues hsppen before. 2 stars because staff is at least nice to your face. Thet just ignore your concerns and verbally say theyre taking care of a concern when if fact they dint and jus say theyre tskin care of it to shut parents up. Therez no way thi place should have high test scores. Many many children left behind or if they see a child not fit in there picture perfect bubble. Instead of trying to tech them as they get paid to do, they classify them as learning deficient to boost thier ratings and funding. Its fraudulant practices. Beware of the school they will put your child on an IEP plan or recommend could they have learning disabilities when in fact they do not the school is just lazy and refuses to teach any child that isn't easy to teach. That's the whole point of being a teacher if you can't do your job then you should work somewhere else. I've worked in other school districts which I did not disclose to them and have friends who works for that school. Horrible horrible School District it should no way have as many stars as it does beware and do not take your child there. My friend also has a child let me know about their experience here which stand out about the same way. Trust your child and what they say not what the teacher say at the school

This schools says it is very anti - bullying but it's not. Supposedly they have a zero tolerance for it. My daughter was there for half of first grade. It started with the teacher separating her and making her sit at the end of a computer table away from all the other kids by herself for the first 6 weeks because she supposedly "talked too much". My daughter told me other kids would talk and blame it on her. One day she was sent home with a note saying she had hid under a table and cut her bangs with scissors. My kid is really tall for her age. They sat at really short kindergarten sized tables so I don't see how she was able to hide under a table without anyone noticing. My daughter wouldn't talk about the incident and showed signs that there was something wrong (signs she had shown before when she was bullied at a different school). I confronted the teacher about her getting picked on which she adamantly denied was occurring. We ended up moving and switched her to a different school halfway through the year. It was then my daughter revealed that kids would pick on her in line and that the teacher would make her sit on the ground in the classroom if she talked or something.

McLane is a wonderful school. The Principal is a wonderful leader and caring person. The staff go above and beyond to ensure every child feels valued. I feel very honored to be among the McLane community! 5 stars!!

My son has been at McLane for 3 years. We've had nothing but good experiences with teachers, staff and the principal. The Parent Teacher Student Organization is very involved in ensuring there are many opportunities for the McLane families to have fun and to connect as a community.
