What a great school ! Great students and faculty, its a two way street. The children here by first grade have most likely surpassed Tps fourth graders. Im more than happy with sending my children here.

My husband and I moved to Maumee from Temperance MI earlier this year. Once we were finally settled, we were comforted by the fact that our son would be attending a 'wonderful' school and a 9/10 as rated by this website. We were excited to know that he would be recieving the education we knew he deserved and we expected Fairfield to surpass the expectations that our son's previous school set. Within the first week, our child started to experience problems with a student. Luckily, this was solved but not to our satisfaction. Then the teacher started complaining that our son was behind and not keeping up with the rest of the class when he surpassed most of his peers at his previous elementary. Then a recent event startled me beyond belief. My son was punched in the stomach by another student at recess. My son told the recess monitor and she said "let me know if it happens again." Then I told the teacher I was upset nothing was done. Still, to this day, nothing was done. Infact, my son was punched a second time. With the severity of bullying nowadays, I was thrown back by the lack of discipline this school showed to this type of violence. We are pulling our son from the district.

My son also attends Fairfield. I have had similar problems with my child and other students harrassing him. When I bring it up to the principal or teacher, they inform me that "we will talk to the student" and guess what, that's exactly what they do-talk. Shouldn't behavior that severe-especially in elementary-be punished? I know most schools adopt a "zero tolerance" policy when it comes to bullying and with Fairfield, it seems like they try to avoid any "problems". Also, when I visited my son in school one day, I noticed that literally ever single teacher I saw was under the age of 25!! I understand that they finish the education needed for an education degree but honestly, I would be satisfied to see just one teacher that looks like she knows what she's doing! Other then that I give kudos to the programs they have established to help at risk students from failing. My child benefitted from this immensely and I do like the location of the school. If I could say one more thing, I wish there was more activities at school for parents-students...

Fairfield Elementary is top notch in our books. The faculty are always very happy and willing to help. We couldn't have asked for a more patient, caring, understanding and knowledgeable teacher than what our daughter has. We really appreciate you Mrs.. Ebley ! When buying a house I would definitely make sure your in the Fairfield Elementary district ! Thanks to all ! Mr. and Mrs. Begin
