For some reason the school doesn't think kids need to go. Looks to be lazy teachers and terrible leadership. I get the need for virtual option, but for the last year the school day has been a half day. Be it virtual or in person there is no reason the staff cant work a full day teaching the kids. Not sure how they could possible think they are give kids a good education when everything is half of what it used to be. There are plenty of other schools still teaching the kids on a full day basis. Now because of the horrible policies and shear laziness of teachers and staff the kids get robbed of an education. Our tax dollars hard at work, teachers get paid full time but work half time, kids lose.

Very good, the teachers are great and the academic expectations are high.

Mattawans Schools are in need of a complete over haul in their Schools and Teachers. This school is uppity, and if you do not have money, you may as well forget being treated with any respect by anyone. The School system needs to limit the School of Choice ( which is legal to do ). Far to many children and young adults and less than adequate facilities for the Students. Mattawan needs to take a step back and concentrate on the local students, rich and POOR. Would not hurt to upgrade their buildings either.

This is an overall bad school there are extremely unplanned classes low budgets result in very full classes almost no one on one help. There is no help for kids who aren't close with the staff. Kids are always complaining and the deans are always twisting words and making things worse that they are. The student body is made up of self loving rude snobby kids if you don't have the nicest things or the best brands you will be stereotyped into the "weird group".

This is a GREAT School!! The students feel welcomed and cared for by all. The teachers go above and beyond to help the students and the parents. This school makes EVERY child feel welcome. Every child is encouraged to go above and beyond to reach their potential. Thank you Mattawan Middle School for all your help.

This school is great, I am a student and I am the class of 2016. The teachers really do want to help the students out, along with the deans, councelors, and the principal. The school does not tolerate bullying. The school also has a great discipline program, and academic schedual. We also have great encore programs. Our music department is amazing, we are involved in choir and band festivals. Your child will likely find a group of friends because it is such a big school, and even though it is a big school you do get a lot of individual attention.
