Overall I am extremely happy with this school. The education and teachers are top notch. Every teacher we’ve had is caring and efficient. The principal is hands on and you can tell he truly loves the kids. And they love him back! I can’t think of a better leader for these kids.

Every single one of the staff members are caring, and considerate of the students and each other. Principal Shatz and Vice Principal York work as a team with their staff. I think what I love the most, is that they are always involved in after school activities too. The kids love seeing their teachers, Principal Shatz, and Vice Principal York after school.

Both my children attended this school. My youngest is still attends. When we moved here, the principal and staff went above and beyond to be sure my children felt comfortable with their transition. Throughout their first year, the staff periodically checked in on them, making sure they were adjusting well to their new school. It’s a wonderful school.

As a parent having been at Marlboro Elementary for 5 years, I can say that both my children loved the teachers and the experiences they had here. I felt they had a well rounded education that included both learning AND fun. We have had wonderful experiences with Mr Shatz (Principal), Ms Yorke (VP) and the entire front office staff as well as the teachers at all grade levels.

Mar El is a wonderful, welcoming environment! My children have had excellent teachers throughout the years. They make learning exciting and have kept my children interested in learning throughout the years. The principal is energetic and engaging with the staff and students and it reflects in the overall atmosphere within the school. I will miss this school and the entire Mar EL family when my youngest moves on to middle school.

This school, along with principal Shatz, is a disgrace to education. There is rampant bullying by both the students and the teachers. This is not an atmosphere that fosters a love for learning, instead it's all about checking the boxes and completing tasks - perhaps, a flaw of the public school system in general. Point of note: my two kids are at the top of their grades in every subject.

My son just graduated and is so sad to leave. I have nothing but good things to say about this school and the principal Mr. Tankard is wonderful. He's exactly the type of principal you hope that your child will be lucky enough to have. Overall this school is a 10!

Exceptional staff and school! My son is in 3rd grade and each year has had a fantastic teacher and wonderful learning experience. If there are any issues the staff are responsive and the situation is immediately rectified. Most importantly, you get a sense that the staff and teachers truly do care about their students which makes all the difference between a good school and an exceptional one.

This is a wonderful school!! I children have been part of this school for 4 years now and it has been a great experience! The teachers are caring & patient. The staff is very helpful. There are many opportunities for involvement in the school. Academically, the teachers are always challenging my children to achieve their best. As a Mom I would definitely recommend this school.
