As a principal myself I could not be happier with the education my children are receiving! The diversity at this school adds a bonus. There are numerous family events and the principal and staff know each family and student by name. There are so many opportunities for clubs and enrichment. Can’t say enough positive things about this school!

We've had kids going here for years and at first things weren't going great, right now though I'd say it is an excellent school! == Ms Ness - Principal ==+ Highly involved with families + Goes above and beyond + Schedules multiple gatherings with families and kids to make sure all is heard + Is easy to approach + Is outside almost every morning greeting kids and making sure they get to school safe + Remembers who eldest who is starting high school in the fall + Helped that oldest when he was being bullied== New Nurse Marta ==So at least one of the reviews here mentioned a child receiving poor injury care and I can say we had that too. Thankfully there is a new school nurse and she's doing an amazing job. The previous nurse sent my eldest home on a bus while he was having an allergic reaction that started at school. Then our middle son was injured at recess, his face was smashed so badly he had to get a bunch of teeth pulled. She insisted he didn't have a concussion and didn't call an ambulance. He has permanent damage from that injury and the SEVERE concussion he had.Marta, however, is the polar opposite. She took the time to personally meet us since our 2 youngest have allergies and she wanted to learn about the middle child's headaches. She helped walk us through their epipen policy and has really proactive in trying to help manage their health at school. == Community Outreach ==I have to say the amount of outreach the school does is nice to see too. Coat drives, food drives, fliers about housing and food help. Items abandoned in the lost and found are donated rather than thrown out. They offer a lot of after school activities and chances to sit with the principal so you know you are heard. == Teachers ==In all the combined years of teachers my kids have had only 2 have been poor teachers. 1 teacher was a bully herself and the school behaviorist raised the flag on her. (She is no longer there). The other teacher wasn't bad but didn't control her classroom which resulted in a wave of bullying that impacted more than just my child. It was so bad some kids left the school. The rest of the teachers we've had we've been happy with. They seem to care about our kids and want to do their best. That includes the gym and music teachers who both put forth a great amount of effort and creativity to keep kids engaged but frequently get overlooked.

My kids have been attending this school for the last couple of years. I have nothing but good things to day about Elm Creek Elem. The teachers, along with all the staff, are caring and approachable.

We love this school. Fantastic teachers, staff and principle. My child has some medical problems and we have had a fantastic experience with everyone being aware and making sure she is safe. Wouldn't want to be anywhere else!!

My son has had a great experience in his 5 years here! He is involved in extra activities and has great connections with the staff. My daughter is in her first year and has had a wonderful experience.

M poor daughter has the terrible misfortune of being a student at this mockery of a school. My once happy-go-lucky, school-loving nine -year old know comes home in tears and thinks her teacher is terrible. The class sizes are too large, students don't have the connection with the teacher they deserve, and the teachers are running on fumes and don't even know your child's name. Find a way, ANY way to find another school for your kids to go to. One where they'll actually learn something!

Love the small community feel of this school. Nestled in a great neighborhood, this school has many kids who walk or bike to school. The kids are friendly and the staff are amazing. Although we have moved on they love to go back to volunteer for bingo or the carnival. Teachers and the principal know kids and families by name. My kids were well-prepared for school when they left Elm Creek. Can't say enough good things about this school.

This school is a good example why are children are failing. All three of my kids spent a year there and couldn't wait to get out of there. They were bullied and when we would try to go in and talk to staff about the problem they never actually fixed the problem. They just swept it under the rug. My daughter had an accident on the playground and hit her head. When she came home she seemed a little disoriented. When we asked her what was wrong she said sha had fallen at recess and hit her head on ice. She had a concussion. No call from the nurse or note letting us no that. I have kids on IEP and they would not follow them. One of the worst schools around in my opinion
